Avantages :

I like the fact that I have been able to talk to the same rep every time and call them directly. It makes for such an easier time to problem solve for get all of my questions answered.

Inconvénients :

I found the "promoter site" portion of the software to be very convoluted and confusing. It's not at all easy or intuitive to try to follow or to find things.

Flexible ticketing solution for third party rentals

Commentaires : Before 2020 we allowed our rental clients to ticket their own events with whichever platform they chose. But when the pandemic hit, we needed a way of better controlling patron access to our venue. We also wanted the ability to socially distance patrons and to produce livestreamed and hybrid events in order to continue with our business while attendance was limited. PurplePass ticked all these boxes for us and gave us a great deal. It's been a great way for us to streamline our rental events, while still allowing our clients to have some element of control. Even after 2+ years of using the software, the team at PurplePass continue to be responsive to any challenges we are experiencing and make us feel valued.

Avantages :

We are primarily a rental facility, and wanted to allow our community partners to have limited control over their events. With PurplePass' ability to add other users as a "partner," our clients can edit their event pages, view ticket sales and email customers- but all our events are streamlined under our Chabot PAC umbrella. We can also offer clients the ability to use PurplePass as their merchant account or to use their own merchant account for even more flexibility.

Inconvénients :

As we are using the "beta" version of the software, we get to try all the new tools as they are released- but we do sometimes run into glitches, which can be inconvenient. Luckily, our PurplePass rep, Gabriel, continues to be responsive to any challenges we experience, always coming up with new suggestions for ways to meet client expectations and passing our feedback along to the development team.

Commentaires : As a community theater, our lifeblood is ticketing. PurplePass's system has made it easy to host events and shows with a reliable ticketing site that doesn't cost our patrons an exorbitant fee.

Avantages :

We searched many ticketing services while looking for a new provider. PurplePass has some of the most competitive prices around. Their customer service is very responsive, and our representative is always willing and able to help us. The design of the site is easy to navigate. Our events are easy to incorporate right into our existing website.

Inconvénients :

We have found that some of the search features for ticket orders do not work in a similar fashion that we are used to. It would be helpful for the purchased seats to appear in a seating chart format on the back end. Neither of these is a deal breaker, and we are certainly getting used to using the new system.

Regarding your desire to view purchased seats on the seating chart, you are already able to do this. Log into your account and click on the "Map" button for your event. This loads the seating map manager for your event where you can manage holds and notes. You are able to click any sold seat on the map to see the full order details of that customer including all other seats in that order.

Avantages :

I used Purplepass Ticketing for quite some time now, because of their "live ticket agents" which is basically just an answering service - but have recently had HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES in not being able to sell tickets because they can't even find my show and not being able to receive payment after the fact.

Inconvénients :

MY ticket buyers call my office stating that the Purplepass ticketing call center doesn't even know about my concerts at all. Their "call center" couldn't find it AT ALL. NO MATTER HOW THEY SEARCHED for it. -Purplepass redid their website and my event was not EVEN LISTED ON THEIR CALENDAR. They said it was a 'temporary' issue. Thank you very much. I needed to sell tickets. It is harder than ever and they seemed to care less about this issue and didn't provide any alternative solution. - I cannot, absolutely not (I have tried 25x at least) access my payment after my last concert. They use Deluxe Payment Exchange for echecks. I have been locked out of my account for more than 10 days and not even the representatives at Deluxe Payment Exchange can get into my account! - Purplepass is not reachable by phone and has not provided an alternative way to get my payment. My event was AUGUST 17. It is now AUGUST 31 and I still have not received payment. I just received an email from Deluxe Payment that i now need to wait an additional 2 business days (It is SAT and Monday is a legal holiday) before I can even attempt to change my password again.) - Purplepass wanted me to do a Bank ACH form. I don't trust the company they are dealing with. If they can't even provide me with payment, provide a solution, log into my account even with me on the phone and are having major, ongoing issues with their website as stated by more than 2 of their live agents. - I used to use Brown Paper Tickets for years in the past and never had a problem with them. - Purple Pass does not even provide a way of downloading all ticket buyers information so we can upload their contact and snail mail addresses to market to them in the future. We have to cut and paste individually. It is so labor intensive. JUST AWFUL.

Please understand that Deluxe.com is a totally different company not related to us, and while we do not control their systems, we strive to assist our clients in resolving such issues. To that end, we offered multiple solutions to expedite your payment—including alternative accounts, overnight checks, ACH setup, and covering costs for a bank wire—to ensure you received your funds as swiftly as possible. Regarding the visibility of your event, we sincerely apologize for any confusion. Upon review, we found that the event was always searchable on our platform. Our investigation into the call recordings indicates that the guest didn't know how to spell the name of the performer and didn't know any other details about the event. Our team tried to help find it but it simply wasn't possible to find an event when the caller doesn't know any specifics about the event.

Purplepass has been great for us!

Commentaires : We've used Purplepass ticketing for over nine years, and I've always found their staff to be extremely helpful in the rare cases where we've seen glitches (usually caused by our own ineptitude!) I would highly recommend Purplepass to any event planner or performing arts administrator for its ease of use and the dedication of its staff!

Avantages :

As a nonprofit outdoor theatre, Purplepass has given us the ability to market reserved seating, as well as donations, in addition to our general seating for the 72+ shows we program during the summer. I can easily determine the number of reserved seats needed, as well as the total reservations, and can more easily allocate enough staff to serve our customers. We also have the ability to download enormous amounts of data that we can upload into our CRM for future fundraising purposes. The ability to email guests on the fly about weather conditions has been really helpful during this rainy summer.

Inconvénients :

There are no "bad" features about this software that I've found. The one thing I'd recommend is that Purplepass give us the ability to set a specific sales cut-off time for recurring events (we can do that for individual events but for recurring events we have limited choices)

Purplepass: A platform with many features, easy to use, and affordable

Commentaires : My overall experience was a positive one. I have to say the fact that the Purplepass staff was so accessible is the most impressive. Having worked with various platforms the accessibility of the staff is key.

Avantages :

The staff was always available and quickly answered any questions we had. It was super easy to embed Purplepass into our website. It was super easy to code the wristbands with all our events. It was super easy to process our patrons at each of the events.

Inconvénients :

My only issue is that some of the reports could be done better. I couldn't easily pull a list of one event out of our weekend, but we did receive will call lists for each event. So we got the date, just not necessarily in the way we would have liked.

To address your question about pulling a list for a single event, you can easily do that by going to the Reporting > Transactions to create a list of all orders for any custom data set (date range, single event, across multiple events, etc.). Purple Pass

Inconvénients :

I wish I would be able to pull more detailed reports for the clients. Especially from a marketing standpoint, I noticed a lot of people view the website from purple pass the most. Especially over facebook, instagram, and client advertisements. If I were able to pull the report that is shown on purple pass I would be able to upset the marketing packages you offer to our clients.

You can access your marketing analysis data by going to Stats page and viewing the "Marketing" and "Social Marketing" tabs. These show detailed breakdowns of all of your tracking IDs, referring pages (How people found you), and full sales data such as orders, tickets sold, revenue, and even how many refunds there were by marketing source. You can also run a marketing report by going to Tools -> Custom Reporting. This includes all of the data you are looking for. Conference Planning

Commentaires : Having our attendees have a great platform to purchase conference tickets was a must for our organization. Our attendess all work in the corrections field and needed a way to purchase their tickets quickly and easily. Purplepass provided that.

Avantages :

Purplepass was very easy to use and navigate. Being a first time user, this was very important to me as I have used other platforms in the past.

Inconvénients :

There really wasn't anything I disliked about Purplepass. I received great technical support and was able to hit the ground running when using the software.

Amazing! Best ticketing service I've ever used!

Commentaires : Purplepass has allowed us to pre-sell and keep track of tickets like never before. It used to take 30+ minutes to get people through the door at the start of an event, but with Purplepass we can accomplish that in under 10 minutes.

Avantages :

Purplepass Ticketing is simply the best ticketing software I've ever used or experienced. It's super easy top setup events, and you have more options than you could ever need to fine tune your event. The website integration is easy, and if you run into any issues whatsoever, the customer service team is fantastic! We've switched over to running every event through Purplepass, it's just that good.

Inconvénients :

The backend UI takes a little bit to learn, I think it could be a little bit more user friendly. That being said, the customer service team is very helpful in assisting you.

Meeting the Demands

Commentaires : We are able to quickly see our house for sold out events and offer coupon codes for various seniors singers and faculty members. Many families have been demanding the ability to pay with a credit card and also desired to choose their own seats and purple pass has accomplished both of these things for us.

Avantages :

Implemented with cashless pre-performance sales in mind, PurplePass allows us to quickly seat audiences in assigned seating or general admission capacity, and help us gage attendance as well as tracking admissions.

Inconvénients :

While I understand there are updates currently in a new version going through Beta testing, we have utilized the old version... PurplePass has recently failed at a critical point of sales prior to a performance not allowing patrons to select seats from the center map, or glitching after the selection and forcing the sale to be processed as a Donation ticket, leaving paid customers without an actual seat in the house. The scanning app has frequently timed out, logged us off, or doesn't allow searching. I really need a feature on the app that tells me the patrons' seat assignment for when I retrieve tickets through search by last name. Some people literally can't find the tickets or their email confirmation and I need to more efficiently help them at the door on the app.

Thanks for your feedback! Regarding your concerns, Purplepass has not had any downtime or critical issues in 2 years. The last time was in 2020 and that was due to a system-wide outtage by Amazon Web Services (AWS). You can always check out system status here: https://status.purplepass.com/ For the concerns of the scanning app, everything you mentioned can in fact be done easily. I will have one of our Client Success reps reach out and show you where the search, order list, seating info, etc. is locationed. The scanners have built-in offline support so even if the internet goes down, they will continue operating.

My experience with PP compared to Ticketmaster has been hands-down more efficient and user-friendly!

Avantages :

Customer Support with key account leaders for constant back and forth. Easy and accessible use of reporting. User-friendly for both the user-facing and back end. Customization of our unique product (exhibitor ticket vs. public facing ticket). Show day support. A sense of urgency for the smallest to largest issues.

Inconvénients :

Not enough suggestions for the future based on their experiences with your product or in the event industry as a whole. I would like to see more comp or case studies provided in order to make your our experiences better. Not able to customize the 'selling widget'. Not able to capture day-of geographic data information quickly though POS, currently no data collected besides redemption during day-of.

I wanted to address some of your concerns: 1) The widget can be greatly customized such as modifying verbiage, size, placement, enabling/disabling key features like shopping cart, Facebook integration, custom dividers/labels, and even 14 different themes. I know you had a long list of items available for sale which made your widget list long. We already have updates in the works that will allow you to group things like your Parking Passes into a single item and then choose as part of the check out process the different days and lots they want to park along with their associated pricing. This should further streamline the experience. As for not capturing day-of geographics, zip codes are not stored on credit cards. You can however ask the customer and enter it during check out. Looking forward to another great year with NIBS!

Excellent Customer Service and Support

Commentaires : The customer service is outstanding on all three levels: 1 As the administrator, I have great access to support and both questions and issues are handled quickly. 2. For the performers, they are paid on time. 3 the ticket purchasers are treated with patience and respect.Purplepass worked with us intently to see that all of our needs were provided for.

Avantages :

It is intuitive software, easy to use and facilitate. I am the administrator, but multiple performers need to access and use it and it all runs seamlessly. Listings to the website can be added quickly. Edits are easy.

Inconvénients :

We have not had any problems with the software. It has been a dream platform for us.

Avantages :

I like the fact that it's a simple platform to use for my box office staff and for our patrons. The platform is user friendly and even those patrons who are not as tech savvy can navigate it with ease.

Inconvénients :

I'd like for us to be able to print names on tickets at will-call for those patrons that choose the option of having their tickets picked up at will call.

Very pleased with Purplepass experience

Commentaires : Among a few ticketing solutions we investigated, we found Purplepass to be the most attractive from the user's perspective. Their interface to select seats simple stood out among the rest, and it super easy to configure. Our's was a special use case though, because we are membership based society which has several grades of membership. People already become members and are then given a choice of seats in their allocated zone. When we contacted Purplepass and told them our requirements, they responded back saying that it was a too complicated for their current system and that it will require them to change their internal engine to support this need. We however were very interested to go forward with this idea. At our end we created some web-services to access our data and made it available to Purplepass. Then we wrote a full requirement specification for Purplepass to implement. They started on the project a few weeks before the event and in one week or so, they had a prototype ready for us using our specification. We did some testing to make sure it met our needs, and went through a few more iterations perfecting it to an acceptable level. Note that this was done under a severe time crunch and Purplepass were very prompt in delivering our needs. We did launch a week before the event date and everyone was thrilled with the interface. As a bonus the interface also allowed the ability for members to re-allocate their seats after they have already selected their seats once. We also got thermal-printer tickets printed for the entire hall and rented scanners for box-office use. This was super easy to use. Overall I was very pleased with the experience and will use it going forward when we have big events like these. To be honest, I have to also mention that the admin interface needs some work. It was a bit difficult for me to do the admin work by discovering it naturally. I had to go back and ask how to do simple things like seat re-allocation and re-zoning when I was expecting to discover it naturally. With the admin interface improved, this is clearly the best solution in the market.

Great customer service

Commentaires : Every time I call to ask for help, Rep is so kind. He will walk me through the steps so I know what to do next time it happens. He also has walked me through all of the details for Purplepass and spent many afternoons providing training sessions with me while I learned the software. He has been a huge help. I am pleased with the software from a customer perspective, however I wish as a Promoter there were a few more features.

Avantages :

Purplepass is very customer service friendly. Their software is so easy to use for online ticket sales.

Inconvénients :

I don't like that it is not easy to adapt for events and festivals that are not common. We are a "unicorn" event and there are different features we need for our events that Purplepass does not offer.

Avantages :

Customer service is above and beyond any expectations we had. We had some mountains to climb during the pandemic (ie, social distanced seating and vaccination documentation). PurplePass accommodated EVERY request we had during the pandemic and continues to listen and act on our needs and requests.

Inconvénients :

Our customers sometimes find it a little cumbersome to purchase a ticket (but in all honesty it's because they are not really computer savvy).

Great Customer Service

The customer service is unparalleled. We were looking at getting some new equipment to better support our box office and not only did they help but they went above and beyond to get us set up.

Inconvénients :

The seating map feature is still a bit clunky. The window doesn't match the size of the screen and I have to zoom out just to be able to find the buttons I need.

Hi James, Thanks for your feedback. For graphical stats and analytics, we suggest clicking the "Stats" button next to your event on the My Events page. This will show over a dozen graphical stats ranging from sales numbers, marketing performance, social media engagement, where tickets were sold (online, box office, phone, etc), your attendance info and even geographical heat map showing where your customers are coming from. For more in-depth reporting, we suggest going to Tools -> Custom Reporting. From there you can create comprehensive customer-based and financial-based reports which can be exported right into Excel. Commentaires : Customer service is TOP NOTCH. Always prompt and extremely helpful! I can email a rep that I always work with that knows me and my company and he responds asap and always offers suggestions and provides resolutions. The equipment is modern and extremely helpful in stream lining my ticketed events. I wont go any where else for my ticketing needs.

Love this application! So easy to use and fast! I can get my events up and going ready for sales in a matter of minuets!

I cant think of anything I do not like at this time.

Onsite ticketing help is great!

Commentaires : I like it. I found it through a friend of mine who uses it at all of his events. It took time to convince me to convert to this software but once I started using it, I realized how much more helpful it functions were for my needs.

Avantages :

I like the fact that we can use this for every aspect of the ticketing process including the door. Other ticketing software's aren't entirely helpful when it comes to making payments at the door.

Inconvénients :

The visual display isn't necessarily eye catching.

Commentaires : Making it easier for my use as well as our ticket purchasers. The product we used in the past caused many problems. Since starting with purplepass we have no problems or complaints. I will continue to use them.

Avantages :

It was so easy to use, set up and edit. Our customers told us they found it easy to purchase tickets. I found it was easy to reassign seats if the customer made a mistake and refunding was simple. The customer service is outstanding. easy to talk to, easy to reach by phone or email. Knowledgeable staff and friendly, extremely helpful from day one. Our other schools are now signing up for their shows.

Inconvénients :

I honestly could not find one thing I do not like.

I like being able to create inexpensive, full-color, perforated tickets for our events. Purple Pass prints them and gets them to us within a few days. These give our events and brand a classy, professional look.

Inconvénients :

I would prefer that once the event is over, that the pay out from Purple Pass to us would be within a day or so, and not have the five day lag time that now exists.

Hi Ken, Thanks for your review. Regarding the timing on payout, you can elect to use your own merchant account or even PayPal to process credit card sales. Easy ticketing option

Commentaires : I am overall very satisfied with the product and the customer support.

Avantages :

I like that I can reserve or block seats from home and I can switch tickets easily and contact ticket buyers.

Inconvénients :

I can’t think of anything I don’t like about the software.

Cloud Based Platform, But Anything New to Offer?

Commentaires : Simple setup, but no significantly different features.

Avantages :

If you've sold tickets to any large size gathering, you know what a pain it can be to manage changes and information not eh day of the actual event. Purple pass appears to be able to handle this well with a cloud-based environment that can sync all users instantly. It also has a relatively simple setup.

Inconvénients :

As a trial user, I can't say anything about using this software on a large scale. It appears that it would be useful, but honestly I'm just not willing to risk switching without a truly compelling reason. I did not see any such reason during setup, so I'll stick with my usual software.

Although our service works well for event organizers hosting events that do not necessarily need the advanced functionality we offer, I do agree that we really excel for the more complex events. Nevertheless, we've rarely come across a client that was not able to greatly benefit over their existing setup. This includes advantages to marketing your event, printing promotional material like tickets, wristbands, badges, etc., or even just the overall management of your event.
