The risk of forgetting to update across all the required sections is smaller. > > **Inconvénients**: The many layers of modules (I like to call it module-ception) takes some time to get used to when coming from a more basic CMS. > > My organisation needed a complete rework of our website when our previous consultancy suspended their services. Our previous WordPress site no longer lived up to our demands for customisation and required quite a few work-arounds for the editors to structure content properly. Upon partnering up with the web consultancy, 1508, we were advised to try Contentful as our new platform. Reasoning spoke to: - freedom of structure and better scalability of content - re-use of content across different web pages - separation of content and presentation layer, resulting in faster development - custom content types - multi-channel distribution Being able to customise our content to meet our specific needs in terms of design, layouts, flexibility and information architecture was key improvements for us. We found that Contentful has a bit of a steep learning curve when coming from a traditional CMS platform such as WordPress. However, the benefits outweigh these challenges so far. As a non-profit organisation, we were pleased to learn about Contentful's pro bono agreement for organisations that strive for positive change in society. Our eligibility for this programme made the choice so much easier for us.
