Avantages :

There is a lot of customization that can be done, and a lot of reports that you can pull. It also seems to integrate with a lot of carrier enrollment systems - that is a huge plus.

Inconvénients :

I feel that the onboarding functionality lags behind the market at the present time. Many platforms are able to use fillable forms and store them within the tool.

We've moved all of our clients online and will never go back!

Avantages :

We expected to gain client facing efficiencies but have been thrilled with the internal benefits it's had at our agency. We can scale so much more effectively now that we have standardized much of our processes through Employee Navigator. The software allows you to scale the technology used by larger employers into the small/middle market where it is most needed.

Inconvénients :

The software is constantly improving but that also comes means it's changing. Staying on top of all the new enhancements and features definitely requires an internal resource dedicated to the task but is worth it in the end.

Biggest Bang for Your Buck

Avantages :

What we and our clients love about Employee Navigator: it's very user-friendly, no need to print New Hire and Open Enrollment documents/handouts, abiltiy to add employee "tasks" and track those tasks, it's self-service, available 24-7, everything is on the portal. This saves them time and money.

Inconvénients :

Setting up the plans for Vol STD and Vol LTD can be a little tricky and you really need to pay attention to the plan "rounding rules". Failure to do so will result in inaccurate employee costs.

Commentaires : An automated healthcare enrollment portal for our contract employees.

Avantages :

This software has helped us launch and maintain our employee healthcare benefits platform. I like the ability of the software to engage our employees and allow them to manage the process of enrollment firsthand.

Inconvénients :

Accuracy of data management has been a real issue with this software. Information entered into Navigator at times has not translated into the actions intended. As a result, we've had to deal with rate issues, healthcare enrollments and cancellations being missed, and a host of reporting issues.

Great Benefits Administration Solution for Clients

Commentaires : My overall experience with Employee Navigator has been very postive. From the initial training to all of the available webinars and recordings to the support and the actual system itself, it is a well oiled machine! The bar has been set and I rarely use another system without expressing frustration that they don't have the options or setup that Employee Navigator does.

Avantages :

I love how easy Employee Navigator is to use. The system is very intuitive and able to calculate eligibility in a number of ways and account for a variety of unique circumstances. The enroller view looks just like the employee view and makes it easy for the enroller to see exactly what is being elected for only that specific new hire or open enrollment window. There is no guessing. The timeline tracks every action to an employee profile or election which makes it very easy to know exactly what happened and who was signed in to complete that action. Employee Navigator is constantly adding new partners for data integrations. Support is amazing. They are always friendly, helpful and responsive and if they aren't certain of an answer, they will work until they have an answer. The help pages are are easy to search and to understand and always link to other things that you might want or need to know about your topic. Employee Navigator is always a positive experience.

Inconvénients :

Because you have to be a premier user to call Support, there are times when I am working with another group and they can't specifically help me if I am not the premier user on that group. I understand why they have the premier users, but it would be great if they could still help me with the specific group as long as I am a premier user on another account.

Commentaires : I love working in a system that does everything that you need to do your job. They have a Knowledge Base available to research any topic you need. They have a little HELP button that stays on your screen. If you need help on anything you just type in a word or two and it takes you to an article on that subject and gives you several options. There is also a university on-line that offers very informative, easy learning to do your job. Also they offer Webinars all the time to keep you updated and in the know. And every 2 years they have a three day conference that is full of information, learning, socializing and fun. It is really nice to meet the people who work at EN and put a face with a name. Very professional!

Avantages :

Love the reporting. So many ways to run a report and get what you need. Also love Customer Support. Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable and patient with you.

Inconvénients :

PTO section. Haven't mastered that part yet. But I know that the Help Desk is there to help me when and if I need them.

Lots of training, lots of fields

Commentaires : So far during the free trial it has been a lot of training and waiting and training and waiting - I wish it was more doing. I feel stuck and in a holding pattern right now, maybe that will change when I am able to begin working in it full time.

Avantages :

There is a lot of customization that can be done, and a lot of reports that you can pull. It also seems to integrate with a lot of carrier enrollment systems - that is a huge plus.

Inconvénients :

The training is a very long process - broken out by certain aspects of the system that you learn by watching then learn by doing in front of a trainer. This process of learning is just really long - I want to be able to get to work on day one, not have to wait weeks to be able to be in the system. One other thing, not having carrier applications in the system is hard - it is definitely a con over other systems as members want and carriers want the actual application filled out. And last it is strange to have one system administrator - or what they call prime user for an agency. My co-workers can't call with questions, they have to direct them to one user who has access to the customer service with Navigator. It causes a lot of work for our prime user.

Commentaires : Prior to using Employee Navigator, I had many more printed checklists and spreadsheets. I was often worried that was forgetting something or that I had forgotten to update a benefit carrier. With Employee Navigator, I've trimmed down the enrollment periods and headaches. It is much smoother for me, the employee, and the carriers. It used to take until April to get my benefit billing to match enrollment. Now, I only need to do a couple of checks before February.

Avantages :

Once set up, the system makes employee onboarding and benefit enrollment a breeze. It has really helped me to make the experience for employees much better by reducing the amount of effort required on their part.

Inconvénients :

When setting up custom task groups, I can't reorder the groups to be presented in the order of my choosing. The best second option is to group all of my tasks in one group. It works but it isn't as smooth as I was hoping.

Avantages :

Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable support team; ease of use; system is easy to navigate through, with so many tools at your fingertips to make benefits management much easier.

Inconvénients :

There are no cons that I can think of. I highly recommend it!

Commentaires : My clients love Employee Navigator and their employees find it easy to use and quick to make changes or enroll in benefits. The Onboarding platform is also very straightforward and easy to use.

Avantages :

How easy it is to use, navigate through and find what you need quickly. How easy it is to build the plans and the instructions are straight forward, but the best thing about Employee Navigator is the Support Team and the quick response time in submitting a ticket or speaking with someone on the phone and getting an immediate response. the support team is amazing, you will not find any other software platform that provides better service! They are exceptional!

Inconvénients :

Not sure, some of my clients want the ability to add unique programming but that is about all I can think of.

User Friendly

Avantages :

Employee Navigator is so user friendly. All our clients love how easy the system is to use. It is like a huge filing system for all their employee benefits. It assists our clients/HR users in keeping track of their employee benefit elections and makes Open Enrollment less stressful.

Inconvénients :

Like all benefit administrative and HR management systems there are some cons. You have to pay attention when setting up certain plans, such as short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance. However, I will say that the Employee Navigator customer service is top notch and will do their best to fix any issues you run into.

Commentaires : Very positive experience. Clients love the system as well.

Avantages :

System is very user friendly. When help is needed, the support staff is very responsive and helpful. It is a powerful benefit administration system for an affordable price. They listen to user feedback and they are always updating and improving the system based on feedback and client needs.

Inconvénients :

Since it is priced and designed to be a self service tool, it does require some commitment for the agency premier user to learn the system and create best practises for clients. However, if help is needed EE Nav support is there to assist.

Commentaires : We use the program all day and can't imagine how we ever did the job before. This tool makes our, and our clients, job easier.

Avantages :

This intuitive system keeps us connected to our clients and their employees; helping us to stay abreast of any status changes, benefit enrollments, and compliance requriements.

Inconvénients :

There is a learning curve - it takes awhile of regular use to become accustomed to where everything is.

Commentaires : Love this system and have recommended it to several in our area and was able to help train the "competition" on it as well. :)

Avantages :

This software has always been easy to use for us as brokers as well as out HR Users. The one thing that I have recommended to everyone was just testing to see how easy it is, and that will sell itself. Cost is another thing that helps us be able to offer to our groups for a solution to them at no cost.

Inconvénients :

It does have some limitations but not too many, just wish it was more customizable or i knew more about Bootstrap to update the color scheme, as sometimes it is hard to see on out screens.

Game Changer

Commentaires : This software gives you the ability to assist your clients with online enrollments, onboarding tasks, reports, payroll integrations, COBRA, EDI/API feeds, and the list goes on and on. Clients save time and money because Employee Navigator makes their job easier and more efficient. The beauty of the integrations, whether it is with payroll or the carriers keeps brokers lives simple as well. It's intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.

Avantages :

The carrier and payroll integrations are a key component when it comes to processing your clients enrollments in a seamless and cost effective manner.

Inconvénients :

You need to build the plans and rates manually. You do have the capability of copying existing plans, but you can't pull plans and rates from their database. They are working on a solution though.

Commentaires : Overall, Employee Navigator is a great tool and extremely beneficial to our clients. It allows our clients to have easier enrollments for new hires and open enrollment. The reporting features are very helpful and can even be customized.

Avantages :

Very easy to navigate and user friendly. Can handle just about every plan setup and design. Their customer support team is amazing and very easy to work with. If they can't answer your question right away, they will escalate it and will always get back to you in a timely fashion.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes I wish there was a little more customization freedom on plan setup. Every now and then I run into a plan design that has some uniqueness to it and isn't always supported by Employee Navigator.

Commentaires : It's been great. I enjoy that I am able to change anything on the spot and it is very easy to use

The customer service is great. If I ever have questions I am easily able to get in touch with your team and get immediate help. I love the features and this has helped me close business

Inconvénients :

I do not like that I can't delete old groups that were either set up as demo's when I was first learning the software or who have left our agency. I do not like how sometimes the homepage gets updated, although I am pretty easily able to figure out the changes.

Easy to use!

Avantages :

I have been building Employee Navigator for brokers for almost 4 years and I love how easy it is to use and to teach to other users. Employee Navigator Customer Support is top notch from training webinars to calling in to Support with a question. I always receive quick and friendly service. I also appreciate their willingness to listen to users and update the software as needed.

Inconvénients :

It is a rules based system so it can be difficult to manipulate data when exceptions or out of box plan set ups are needed.

Easy Benefit Adminstration for Smaller Business

Avantages :

We use Employee Navigator because our benefits administrator (Alera Group) set it up. It interfaces easily with our payroll system (Paylocity). New employees are automatically enrolled in the system and receive an email to set up their benefits. Payroll data is automatically updated for income-driven benefits, such as disability insurance. During Open Enrollment, the new benefits enrollments are automatically sent to Paylocity, so the individual deductions are updated.

Inconvénients :

The website does not allow you to update the passwords directly. Instead, it requires a password reset email be sent. Many of our employees only access the site during Open Enrollment, and do not actively use their email accounts. This can often create a chain reaction of password reset emails. It would be helpful to have alternate ways to reset passwords, such as text confirmations.

Pros and Cons from a fairly new user

Commentaires : Took a little getting used to for me to find information. Still not too "up" on how to run reports, but the co-worker who is savvy about the system will fill me in more when she returns from maternity leave.

Avantages :

It has the potential for "one stop shopping" for companies to input, track, and amend all manner of data for their employees. And it allows for two-way communication between the employee and employer regarding benefits, time off requests, etc.

Inconvénients :

As a benefit counselor, for an employee that only ones or or two items of voluntary benefits, there is a lot to go through to get to that product selection. As a coordinator, the timely updating of information by the plan administrator is crucial for each company to get the full benefit of Employee Navigator. It takes a commitment from dedicated personnel.

Commentaires : It has been great. I respect that Employee Navigator is always looking to improve their platform. They are always releasing updates throughout the year and care about what their users need.

Avantages :

Online enrollment for employees to make their selections and we as the Broker get the data to the carriers.

Inconvénients :

Age banded plans only has the option for 4 tiers for the employer contribution. We need it to have 5 tiers.

Avantages :

Ease of use, customization, constant updates. Payroll Integration. Complete HRIS. Use the system as you want for as little or as much as you want. Task management and employee interaction.

Inconvénients :

The system is yours to use as you want, this can be hard for some to grasp. Some carriers are not integrated yet, this is mainly because they are not up to the times of XML format. Employee navigator is working very hard to get more and more on board.

Commentaires : We've been using Employee Navigator for several years now. The company is very dynamic and does a good job of meeting client's needs. The learning curve is a bit complicated and requires special training for staff, and that is a hurdle that we've had some difficulty with, but the functionality is great for the money. We really love the service too.

Value for the price. Great way to communicate with clients.

Learning curve is a little complex for the employees at our agency
