Great all-in-one product for busy teams
Commentaires : Keela has been great. Amazing customer service.
Avantages :
I like the built-in features, like email marketing, so that I don't have to worry about using other plug-ins (like mail-chimp for example). I purchased Keela as our CRM when I was the only employee in the organization, so having a streamlined product that could function as many things (email marketing, donor management, email donors, memberships, event registration, great customer support, etc) was important do to my limited capacity.
Inconvénients :
Keela does everything well, but not perfectly. There are some usability issues that slow down workflow slightly (e.g. extra buttons to select when scrolling through the calendar to select a date of a donation).
Hearty Recommendation
Commentaires : We've loved having Keela since the beginning. It is an integral part of running our company and the software does everything we need it to do.
Avantages :
Customer service is amazing. Constantly updating to make better. Very easy to navigate and use.
Inconvénients :
Not a fan of paid add-ons. Wish they were included but understand why they aren't. SendGrid integration doesn't work with Wix and causes a lot of bounced emails for us.
Alternatives envisagées : Bloomerang
Pourquoi choisir Keela : Easy of use! Needed something that was intuitive and easy for everyone.
Logiciel antérieur : Sumac
Pourquoi passer à Keela : Value for price, ease of use, server location, origin of company, reputation, customer service
Keela Failure to keep their word
Commentaires : I would never do business with them again for the above reason, I think COVID was just an excuses for their poor behavior.
Avantages :
The implementation was easy and I thought they cared about us as a customer.
Inconvénients :
In the middle of COVID while trying to survive as a non-profit, with no donation coming in and having no Summer Camp program running, we decided that we could not keep any non essence programs running as we needed to try survive and remain open. As our records would indicate we had not used Keela for over 2 years (COVID), so we email them and terminated our relationship (renewal) as it was about to renew. Keela would not return the money to us, so we contacted the CC company and disputed the charged. Keela told us that if we withdrew the dispute that they would refund our money. So we withdrew the dispute, but Keela NEVER return our money. This is not the type of relationship we wish to have with any of our vendors.
Keela for Non-profit
Avantages :
Keela software stands out for its user-friendly interface, making it easy for nonprofits like ours to manage their operations efficiently. It offers many donor management features, including tracking donations, managing contacts, and communications tools, all of which we use frequently. Additionally, Keela's timely customer support is always appreciated. The software also integrates easily with tools like QuickBooks and PayPal. Overall very pleased with Keela.
Inconvénients :
One thing challenge I've had with Keela is its contact merging feature. While it does help identify and merge duplicate contacts, the process can be quite cumbersome. Additionally, once contacts are merged, they cannot be unmerged, which means I have to be very careful during the merging process.
Keela keeps us organized
Commentaires : Our team has used Keela on a daily basis to stay organized as a team, manage volunteers and donors, track goals, and send out communications. The customer support is great whenever we encounter an issue and we love that new features are continuously being added.
Avantages :
Team access helps keep everyone on the same page regarding fundraising and communications. We love that we can see our volunteers, donors, campaigns and communications all in one place.
Inconvénients :
As we grow as an organization and gain more contacts we need to pay more for our subscription which isn't easy. It's a tool we use daily, and at this point, we need this type of software to operate and stay organized, but it can be challenging to find funding that will cover the cost.
Capterra Keela Review
Commentaires : With Keela being fairly new for us still, everyday we use it we are learning new things that can be done within Keela! It has been a bit of an adjustment but we see lots of potential with Keela.
Avantages :
I personally love how customizable Keela can be depending on the user. It's also nice that there are many functions that can be taken advantage of in Keela, keeping most of our Data in 1 place instead of spread out between multiple products.
Inconvénients :
With the amount of Data that was in our old database, we have had a hard time with the transition of correct data into Keela from our old server. It has taken more time then we have envisioned to get everything into Keela from Kindful. Additionally, I have personally had issues with importing taking up to 6 hours with Keela.
Review of Keela as an admin and user
Avantages :
I like that it has features we can use on a daily basis all in one system.
Inconvénients :
Any new product enhancement isn't automatically added to your subscription. Often has to pay additional fee.
Excellent way to manage donors and donations
Commentaires : It's a great data management system and I like that it is specifically geared to donations. The set up has been slow for me - just because I'm doing it as a volunteer and had to work on it in dribs and drabs, rather than a concentrated amount of time. Can't say enough good things about the support team - they are amazing. Overall - I'm very pleased that I chose Keela.
Avantages :
The support is top notch. Their knowledge base is extensive, answering most of my questions without need to contact support. The videos produced to explain basic functions are excellent. But - when I can't find the answer - an email to the support team is answered within a day with just what I need to proceed.
Inconvénients :
Setting up reports is not an easy task. But - still learning!
Keela is Easy
Commentaires : In the time I have used Keela I have had no issues with it. The ease of use is great! You can input donations directly into Keela without using a spreadsheet and then importing. Businesses are listed separately with associated contacts attached to them. Finding and changing information of a donor is quick and easy.
Avantages :
It is easy to navigate and is very user friendly.
Inconvénients :
Some items that we flag with donations were not able to be flagged as we did before without setting up a separate segment.
Keela as a Non-Profit (Mosque)
Avantages :
The integreatted forms and communications feature has been my faviourte part of keela so far. In our previous setup we would be boucing between mailchimp, eventbrite and google forms, but now all of that has been collected in one place making it easy to use on a daily basis. It is also a huge benefit that we can add multiple team members to keela, this allows us to give employess access to only what they need to manage.
Inconvénients :
So far we have had problems with the lack of integrations with softwares other than stripe. Although the online integration of stripe is usefull we are still required to upload payments made of debit machines (Clover) and e-transfers. If Keela were to offer integration with stripe terminals this would make things much smoother for smaller organizations which operate on less man power.
Amazing product and customer service support!
Commentaires : I enjoy Keela as I used Blackbaud Raiser's Edge for many years and it was horrible.
Avantages :
The migration process was smooth and the customer service support is quick and efficient. It is also user-friendly and easy to for donations processing.
Inconvénients :
The access form a mobile app/iPhone is not super easy. MFA process is tedious and slow.
Keela "Thinks" Like We "Think"
Commentaires : I'm sorry that, when a person reads the "cons," it probably sounds like I'm "dissing" the software. But the truth is - it's the best we could find. And there's something else: They (the entire team) seem to have such a customer service orientation that they LISTEN! And they aren't afraid to admit that something needs to change. For example, see above when I mentioned the problem with state abbreviations. After I submitted the idea into the idea portal and copied the customer support email, they wrote me back a personal email and admitted that they should have caught this earlier. The fast-tracked the fix and -- I'm serious - they rolled out the fix within like... maybe three weeks max. (As fast as we would have wanted them to make a fix, test it, and releast it.) In fact, they've listened every time - and they've begun implementing changes based on sincere user feedback. Last week (I'm not making this up), they arranged a call with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]-- both on a Zoom call with the customer support specialist that they assigned to us. Their main purpose seemed singlefold: To listen. They never became defensive... not once. They basically said, "Make a list of your 'pain points,' and give ALL of them to us." No software vendor had EVER done that for me before (even though I've been equally forthright with ALL of them). The pricing is fair for what we get. Imagine - we sent out 9800 emails. Keela did GREAT. There's so much more I could say. Love it.
Avantages :
Keela's pricing structure was straightforward and fair. They didn't charge "by the user," like some vendors do. Yes, there's a sliding scale based on the range of contacts, but for our org, the scale seemed fair. We had tried numerous (I forget how many) products previously. I'm ashamed to admit we rarely stayed with one product longer than a year. DonorPerfect. CiviCRM. Salesforce. Blackbaud. Bloomerang. Salsa CRM/Engage. The list goes on. Not sure why - but when we found Keela (I'm not kidding), it was like finding "the one." For one thing, they didn't make me make an appointment with some sales rep that would do a 30-minute demo, then ask me if I had questions, even though I had already watched everything in her/his demo in dozens of YouTube reviews. (That's a crazy system, if you stop and think about it.) Keela let me open the account, set everything up, do my first imports, and start using the program all without having to wait on ANYONE in ANY time zone. (It's not that I'm anti-social. I just wanted to experiment with it on my OWN.) They advertised some outlandish increase we should expect in fundraising. I remember thinking, "Now how could they know that?" But I'm serious - from the day we first installed until the first email campaign, it was under 90 days. And our first email/printed mail campaign has just topped (you're going to think the company hired me to say this - but they didn't) $100,000 in income. Our typical email campaigns had been $10,000 or $12,000prior
Inconvénients :
I need a bigger box. (haha) I didn't like the way they seemed to want to hide certain fields from me - like, they were afraid it would make the software seem too complex. The reporting module seemed sooooo basic. I just wanted them to give me a "field picker" for every field and let me choose exactly which fields I wanted. Instead, someone in their product development team had apparently decided which fields that he or she thought were important enough to include in a report. What's so hard about giving us a dropdown box with choices -- ALL choices?! States and Canadian provinces were listed in a dropdown - but I had imported thousands of records with state abbreviations -- and, strangely, it wasn't an option to search for those. (?????) Again, it was like they were trying to make the program so friendly that they prevented us from graduating to more of a "power user" posture. The software was fast (I mean - we have 17,000 contacts and it seemingly always finds the desired contact within 1 second - seriously), but some of the clicks and steps between functions are dreadfully filled with twists and turns and dead ends. Too many clicks. They allow the user to manage importing - and they have documented it well - but I can't designate a "key field" that I want to use as the key. They have their own Keela index - but it's hard to assign multiple keys. They DO keep an "external index" and they use it - but sometimes I'm not clear how to mesh the two.

Doug! We've said it before and we'll say it again - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your enthusiasm, your passion and most of all your willingness to work with us to make the system better. Keela is on a rocket journey to the moon and we're so glad to have you onboard! Thanks always, the Keela Customer Care team (and every single team member t Keela if I'm being honest - we are all BIG fans!)
Keela streamlined us
Commentaires : Overall our experience has been very positive, and I am happy to use Keela for work every day.
Avantages :
Our intro to Keela was fast and furious, but the customer service team made starting up very easy. The interface is user friendly, and everything is clearly labelled. We now have all of our contacts in Keela, and use the form feature to embed all of our forms onto our website. Keela forms look so much more professional than the Google forms we were using. Looking for info or data on Keela is quick and easy, and it's also simple to edit or change things as needed. It has made our paperwork load lighter, and for that we are grateful!
Inconvénients :
The only con I can think of is that you have to manually integrate duplicate contacts, but other than that it's a great service.
Alternatives envisagées : Google Workspace et Microsoft 365
Pourquoi passer à Keela : The cost and the versatility. Another LDA chapter has been using it, and they reported it worked well for them.
Keela, Powerful Integrations that Simplify Nonprofit Management
Commentaires : Overall I am very impressed with Keela as a hub for organizational information.
Avantages :
The platform brings together so many tools, which makes it super flexible and efficient for nonprofit management. It’s like having a Swiss army knife for organization, communication, and fundraising all in one place, without the need to jump between apps.
Inconvénients :
One downside I've found is with the Zapier integration—not all fields are available for mapping, which can be a bit limiting. It’s more of a personal use issue, but it would make a big difference for streamlining specific workflows if all fields were accessible for mapping.
Great for donor management and easy to use
Avantages :
Customer service is the best I've ever dealt with and the communications area is great for all our needs. Also easy to use for sorting contacts and managing donations.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes imports from external softwares can be tedious but I don't think that is specific to Keela, that is the case with any import.

Great product for non profits
Commentaires : Really great so far. Looking forward to more products been implemented.
Avantages :
Very easy to use as an administrator as well as to teach. The guides provided are very straightforward and applicable for different types of users.
Inconvénients :
Limited integration platforms. There are additional platforms that can increase the usage
Reasonably good product
Avantages :
It's quite easy to use and has the core features one might want in a CRM without some of the unnecessary frills.
Inconvénients :
Some of the features don't work well in Firefox which is surprising.
Make it easy for your community to give back to your organization
Commentaires : Fantastic. Regular communication with supporters, easy online donation forms and seamless fundraising templates have helped our organization to grow exponentially over the last few years.
Avantages :
Before Keela, we had all of our contacts on various spreadsheets. Now I am able to find our donors, communicate with them and allow new volunteers and donors the opportunity to get involved as well.
Inconvénients :
I wish there were a simple option to collect simple information via a form without the donation links.
Big fan
Commentaires : We use Keela on a regular basis and really enjoy it.
Avantages :
The whole site is simple and easy to use. It's very well organized and even customizable to our needs.
Inconvénients :
There aren't any issues we have with Keela at all.
Keela has made Donor Management so much easier
Avantages :
Keela's Campaign reports are fantastic. Finding and exporting data is incredible easy
Inconvénients :
My NPO has a tiered membership system which Keela cannot support. Accessing the website on a mobile device is incredible difficult.
Keela is a wonderful tool for donor management and fundraising
Commentaires : Keela has increased our productivity and streamlined our donor operations.
Avantages :
Ease of use, depth of tools. Keela support is quick and very helpful.
Inconvénients :
It is a developing program and the developers are sensitive to the needs of it's users.
Keela is a gem of a program for small Charities!
Commentaires : In six months we have done from a dozen donors to over 200, are seeing some monthly donors now and have used Keela to forward our stewardship processes. I highly recommend Keela as the donor management software of choice!
Avantages :
Keela truly is an "intuitive program" that made integration to our systems easy, and increased our ability to not only recruit donors but to foster a more robust stewardship program. In addition, I can rad through the step by step processes and they make sense - even for a non techy person who is a little shy of technology!
Inconvénients :
Keela has a ton of options so for me finding time to filter through to use the program to its maximum capacity is taking time. That said, the options are all there, the training, and the support.
Accessible and cost-effective CRM for non-profits
Commentaires : This was our first online donation portal, and it worked perfectly. And having this combined with a CRM, to track all interactions and contact data, at an affordable price has been perfect.
Avantages :
The program is ready to deploy immediately for non-profits, and does not require an in-house IT team to deploy. The folks at Keela have designed it specifically for non-profits and administrators can begin using immediately. Very user friendly, so also easy to onboard a team of users to begin using immediately. Combines CRM needs with fundraising functionality in one program. Ease of importing and exporting custom data sets is a huge bonus.
Inconvénients :
Linking companies to individual contacts is not intuitive at first, and can result in duplicate entries. However, they are easily merged.

A Quick, Low-ish Cost Solution for a Non-profit that lacked structure
Commentaires : Overall this software has (or will be) a lifesaver. Our staff have had difficulties adjusting to the new system, mainly because there is structure and specific data points where before it was a mish mash of data in notebooks, Excel files, and Post-It notes. I would like to see some additional development devoted specifically to customization of the system. Keela is very much a rigid cloud solution with little to no customization options. Having the ability to control the look and feel of the system, donor-facing data, and being able to control what inputs are allowed from users would be a huge help. At the end of the day, though, Keela is a great solution for a small nonprofit who is looking for a quick solution at low cost.
Avantages :
-Easy to onboard donors and volunteers (the difficult part was organizing the data to make it upload properly which has more to do with the administration of the organization that the software. -Immediate, flexible training for the staff. -Relatively simple interface. I say relatively because sometimes its almost "too" easy and some members of the staff overlook the simple solution.
Inconvénients :
-I am not fond of the analytics tool. Again, maybe this has more to do with the fact that its too simple, but as an analyst I find it difficult to get the information I want easily. -We have had some struggles with the integration with other vendors-specifically MailChimp. After following all the instructions for both companies, we still cannot complete a good link.
