Simple, efficient – where were you 20 years ago!?

Commentaires : I came on board to take a small not-for-profit and expand it nationally. Board Pro instantly solved what could have been weeks of designing a governance system. Each month we save hours of administrative work.

Avantages :

Board Pro replicates the board governance process that I have used for years. Everything in one place, board packets are easy to produce and modify. Board members are able to use the files as they wish – online or download the PDF. I love the fact that the formatting is automated. Board Pro saves at least four hours of administration time setting up the board packet. The price point makes it easy to decide to go with the software. It is without peer.

Inconvénients :

Small and responsive, the team at Board Pro seemed to anticipate any improvements I could ask for. Impressively, they routinely ask for feedback and ideas.

BoardPro: One Year In and Going Strong

Commentaires : It is a lot of work to prepare meaningful board and committee meetings, BoardPro alerts our members in advance, and provide the opportunity for pre-meeting review of supporting documents. When in the board meeting they are able to access the meeting and documents on their laptops, and follow the discussion in real-time. It allows for deeper board engagement, their eyes are no longer glossing over from an abundance of paper packets and content.

Avantages :

Ability to organize board meetings with supporting documents for each committee's report.

Inconvénients :

Would like to be able to create a MASTER board meeting or committees' meeting, and then enter a recurring date range, or enter custom dates and have the software duplicate and repeat for the entire calendar year.

Commentaires : Easy to use, easy to figure out, and if in doubt you have an assistant to help you.

Avantages :

It creates the Agenda for me. So easy and able to drop the files in.

Inconvénients :

probably the font, and the overall look. Quite hard on the eyes, feel like it could be outlayed differently.

BoardPro -- the ONLY affordable Board portal solution

Commentaires : Easy billing, available extras like free continuing education programs on governance, and while they have higher paid programs they do not try to upsell you. Customer support is available through text. Note that they are an Australian company, so there are some word-spelling differences ("organisation" vs "organization") and their regular business hours are not convenient to Americans, but this is a minor inconvenience and actually something I like about them.

Avantages :

BoardPro is the most affordable of all the board portal programs. It is a bit more bare-bones than some other programs, but it fits our needs and does so for a fraction of the cost. It keeps tracks of meeting schedules, agendas, and added documents for review. Our Board members are able to access the information for the meetings, and the system sends them reminder notifications automatically. The program works well for us.

Inconvénients :

It is a bit more bare-bones than other software, so aesthetically there are a few things I would change but they are insignificant. The thing that I like least is that there are a couple of programs that are available for an upcharge that I would like to be included in the basic program. The one that I would most like included at the basic rate is the add on that allows Board members to vote online.

Very good product but would love to see it improve

Commentaires : Overall, the experience has been positive. The ease of setup and the user-friendly nature make it a good product. However, I would like to see some enhancements, such as the ability to write and change reports attached to agendas without having to reload them.

Avantages :

Ease of use, clean dashboard, offers of mini training sessions, ease of customer service

Inconvénients :

The inability to amend Word documents, like in Sharepoint, and having to reload changed versions. This is something Harbour Software, with their DocAssembler product, offers. Also, I would like to use it more widely, but the cost of each separate committee is prohibitive for a not-for-profit.

Recommend BoardPro

Commentaires : Excellent, massive time saver. Suggestions I have made are well received by help and support.

Avantages :

It is very easy to use and makes the admin part of board hui very easy. Love the reduction in manual formatting mahi when doing manual board packs. Also the auto reminders and reduction in emails required to follow up as it is automated.

Inconvénients :

One thing that comes to mind is the inability to take minutes inside the action point section. We quite often spend a bit of time discussing actions and I have to go in and out to find a place to make those notes i.e. general business.

Avantages :

Ease of use and navigation makes BoardPro an essential component of our board process.

Inconvénients :

I'd be keen to see our organisation introduce two factor authentication to access BoardPro given the sensitivity of the information it contains.

Why I love Boardpro

Commentaires : Very easy transition from paper to Boardpro, the help center has been very responsive and helpful in getting us set up

Avantages :

Its intuitive and user friendly, no more chasing around trying to find documents, no more scanning and emailing

Inconvénients :

I was initially nervous at the prospect of changing from paper to online, but it's been so easy, and I have recommended Boardpro to all my business colleagues.

Governance Game Changer

Commentaires : Really efficient and easy to use. An excellent time-saving tool for governance professionals.

Avantages :

There are no features that I find difficult to use.

BoardPro is a must for any board

Commentaires : At the start I questioned the cost for a NFP entity like ours but I am now sold 10 times over now.

Avantages :

The time savings from start to finish. Setting up BoardPro is user friendly and simple. The setting of the agenda is simple. Allocating who is talking to the item is simple. Board Members can look back on previous hui's and docs at their leisure. The task allocations during the hui is amazing along with the follow up reminders. The minutes are taken during the hui which saves a lot of time. The approval of the minutes are seamless. The cost of the app plays for itself with the time savings and accuracy of the minutes.

Inconvénients :

I haven't found anything that I don't like about BoardPro at this stage of our journey.

Great for charities

Commentaires : As a new user of BoardPro, my experience has been fantastic. I have found it easy to earn and it considerably reduces the time it takes me to put together the agenda and to record meeting minutes and actions. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to simplify their meeting records and maintain consistency.

Avantages :

I love how easy it is to plan meetings and record minutes. I also love how BoardPro records who is responsible for actions, then emails them reminders about completing these actions. The layout is easy to edit to suit our needs and easy for the team to read.

Inconvénients :

We are a charity and get the nonprofit rate. It is still of largest subscription expense so it would be nice if the discount was greater. But as BoardPro is so good, we are happy to pay the amount we do.

BoardPro is a great app for administering board meetings

Commentaires : Been super positive experience. The team at BoardPro are always on hand to help with training and clarify any issues.

Avantages :

Once you get the hang of it, it's super easy to use. It saves me so much time from collating a pile of PDFs and having to create page numbers, hyperlinks etc. The Board love being able to use it in the meetings and for pre-reads and it's great for taking minutes in the meeting too. It's nicely automated with action points and it's great to have everything in one place for everyone to access, including governance docs, policies etc. Great customer service too - very prompt and good information and advice. So pleased to have it!

Inconvénients :

It's not quite up to my normal standard of presentation with fonts and layout so I have to get over it looking a bit ugly! You need to remember to save the minutes (notes) as you go - they don't do it automatically.

Great easy platform for board/governance support!

It is a great platform for governance support. An easy programme to use with specific functions for governance work. The layout of the menu bar is clear dashboard, meetings/calendar schedule, actions, documents...etc. are all really clear functions helping governance/board meeting support. i really enjoy the easy transfer of info for minute taking, confirming minutes for upcoming meetings and communication with members. it's really easy to use overall

Inconvénients :

To duplicate agenda items into future meetings. For example, I have a scheduled meeting for December and previous agenda items from September I would like to duplicate an item/s for December meeting instead having to re-write it/copy paste etc. I know I can re-create a new meeting and duplicate agenda items that way but it would be great to be able to duplicate specific agenda items AND its content into meetings instead deleting the meeting and starting a new one Also, if there was a way to connect our outlook app to the schedule meeting as an event and inform our members, team. that would be great

BoardPro for ease and efficiency

Commentaires : I have been using BoardPro for over one year now and having been an executive assistant for many years find this to be an amazing program that saves so much time and effort.

Avantages :

Easy to use and keeps all my board documents together in one place. Easy to communicate with board members.

Inconvénients :

Minute preparation is not so flexible and easy to use.

Avantages :

That I can easily find the contacts of others whilst also having board packs and agendas very clear and well organised. Voting was also a very ismple process. Security of my account as well was very satisfactory, as information within the account are in all confidence and ought to be protected. Thank you.

Ability to organise documents for separate purposes and assign access rights for each, for example: Board Papers Constitutional documentation Committee Papers

Inconvénients :

Marking up documents with notes is not as easy as I would like. Highlighting option is good.

BoardPro is extremely easy and intuitive to use. It saves me so much time and makes my Board Packs look so much more professional.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I have found a little tricky was when the UI changed, but I quickly learned to navigate the new design.

Smart easy to use tool

Commentaires : Responsive staff with an efficient product and the introduction of the webinars has provided great learning.

Avantages :

Having everything you need for a meeting and a place to store reference material in one easy to navigate place makes this a really efficient tool.

It’s quite an investment for small organisations.

Chair functionality

Commentaires : It makes Chairing meetings manageable to monitor the flow, decisions, actions, manage the time - converting from no platform to BoardPro has been a great time saver.

Avantages :

Functionality - It's easy to use with everything where it needs to be and supports committee meetings well also.

Inconvénients :

As Chair, I need to have the agenda up as well as follow the meeting so i often print out the agenda and follow along online. it would be great if there was a chair set-up or dual screen mode or other option?

A+ for BoardPro

Commentaires : I enjoy using boardpro, it is so professional and keeps all relevant documents in one place.

Avantages :

That minutes can be captured and is transferred over to the next meeting to confirm.

once minutes are confirmed you cannot edit

Easy to access and refer to, no need for paper. Love the added tools of highlight and writing notes.

was a b it clunky to use at first. and once I navigated my way round it works well for me. Use Board pro on several boards I am on.

The way forward for Boards

Commentaires : Really satisfied - when I hear that some teams are still spending hours of time printing and posting Board packs, I really can't believe it. Our Boards have people of all ages and backgrounds on them who use BoardPro very effectively

Avantages :

Ease of access to Board information for multiple Boards on the same application

Inconvénients :

It would be great if more people used it!

Auditor using Board Pro

Commentaires : Satisfied. Maintains a perfect log for audit purposes and showcases / ensures boards are performing controls as intended to.

Avantages :

Ease of use, ability to have all documents stored in one place. Best is maintaining a digital log/trace that can be referred to at any convenient time.

Inconvénients :

I use my login for audit purposes - to review board packs and when i have to go early on in the year I have no manually go scrolling. Would be really handy if there was an ability to personalise dashboard for the user, or perhaps add a calendar on the side with a coloured circle on meeting dates just to make it quicker to scroll through.
