Unified Endpoint Management Solution

5,0 il y a 2 semaines Nouveau

Commentaires : Endpoint Central is a powerful tool for IT administrators looking to streamline endpoint management and enhance security across the organization. I appreciate the wide range of features that cover almost all aspect of the endpoint management including patch management, software deployment, asset management, remote control and mobile device management.

Avantages :

Endpoint Central allows us to manage servers, laptops, desktops, smartphones and tablets from a single console which is highly efficient for organizations with diverse device ecosystems. Endpoint Central offers platforms for managing legacy and modern devices.

Inconvénients :

Due to macOS's high level of security, Endpoint Central is not entirely capable of managing MacBook Pro and iMac devices. Lack of historical reports that provide information about configurations that we have defined and deployed to the devices via Endpoint Central.

Alternatives envisagées : Hexnode UEM et JumpCloud Directory Platform

Pourquoi passer à ManageEngine Endpoint Central : I choose Manage Engine Endpoint Central because of its comprehensive feature set, ease of use and cost-effectiveness.

Updated Review after 7 mo We won’t renew annual subscription

3,0 l’année dernière

Commentaires : Not extremely pleased with Endpoint Central Cloud UEM. For what we ultimately use in the suite we could’ve saved money and used either a different ManageEngine / ZoHo product or a different software altogether.
I’m not meaning to sound so hard on them, but I’m just not happy with what we got for the cost. We won’t be renewing the annual subscription.

Avantages :

Documentation is very helpful, customer service is generally very good and prompt at answering. There are a lot of included features in endpoint central uem edition (we used endpoint central uem cloud). Windows OS features work often. Remote access feature is good. Patch management works.

Inconvénients :

Limited features for MacOS and extremely few for Linux although some problems may be limited by the OS. Enrollment was a pain for Mac and Linux and provided few benefits. (No MdM for Linux. MDM required and included for macOS, but provided few benefits.) Advertising on the ManageEngine website and Endpoint Central website promised way more than it delivers. Especially for multi OS features. Very windows-centric.

Alternatives envisagées : Jamf Pro

Pourquoi passer à ManageEngine Endpoint Central : Jamf Pro is way too expensive. Intune doesn’t play nicely with non-Microsoft windows os. Intune would have too limited functions. Jamf is a big question mark because the cost is too prohibitive.

Pourquoi choisir ManageEngine Endpoint Central : Cheaper option and included OS Deployer.

Very powerful tool

5,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Commentaires : For now we are very happy with the tool and all the features it includes. We think it is very powerful.

Avantages :

All-in-one tool which allows you to fully-manage your computers, and keep them up-to-date avoiding security breaches which could be used by malicious actors. See at a glance how secure your systems are and how to make them more secure.

Inconvénients :

For some tasks the GUI could not being as much friendly as it should, and it has a little learning curve, but I think that's normal. Although the cost per computer is not very expensive, the price could be a problem in an environment with a lot of computers.

Alternatives envisagées : PDQ Deploy & Inventory et GFI LanGuard

Pourquoi passer à ManageEngine Endpoint Central : It seems to be a better tool, with more functionalities that we needed, and better performance. Additionally, we needed a cloud-based tool, and GFI Languard it was not.

Endpoint Central Review

5,0 il y a 3 mois

Commentaires : Excellent tool. Well worth the investment.

Avantages :

Automation - Being able to set scans and then walk away and patches will be deployed. Admin Tools - Helpful when on a remote session. Configuration - Being able to setup department specific configurations that are time consuming to manually build. Well built reporting tools.

Inconvénients :

SDP integration - would be to import data from Service Desk Pro into the computer details. (Ex. assignment, department etc.) More granular control over the notification pop ups.

A Productive 5+ Years of Journey with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

5,0 il y a 3 mois

Commentaires : My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been highly positive. Over the years, it has proven to be a dependable and comprehensive tool for managing our endpoint infrastructure. The platform has simplified our daily IT tasks, from patch management, remote software & configuration deployement to remote troubleshooting, helping us maintain a secure and compliant environment. While there are areas where further enhancements would add even more value, such as additional integrations and feature parity between the cloud and on-premise versions, the consistent support and regular updates from ManageEngine demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement. It’s a platform I rely on for efficient, streamlined endpoint management, and it has greatly contributed to our IT team's productivity.

Avantages :

Having used ManageEngine Endpoint Central (earlier known as Desktop Central) for over 5+ years, what stands out most is its all-in-one functionality for endpoint management. The platform is highly reliable for automating patch management, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting. It’s user-friendly and provides in-depth reports, helping us stay on top of system compliance and security. The remote control feature is robust, making it easy to provide quick support to end-users without interrupting their workflow. I also appreciate the regular updates and support provided by ManageEngine – they listen to feedback and consistently enhance the product. Overall, Endpoint Central has saved us a lot of time and effort, allowing us to focus on more strategic IT goals.

Inconvénients :

One notable limitation is the need for more integrations with other IT management and security tools. Expanding the integration options would make it easier to align Endpoint Central with broader IT ecosystems. Another area for improvement is aligning the cloud version's features more closely with the on-premise offering (like Endpoint DLP Module). While the cloud version is convenient, it still lacks some of the more advanced functionalities of the on-premise setup. Addressing these gaps would make Endpoint Central a stronger choice, particularly for organizations aiming to transition to cloud-first infrastructures.

Heading in the correct Direction

4,0 il y a 4 mois

Commentaires : Manage Engine is a product that is heading toward the correct direction, useful for those with full access. Agent can be installed via GPO, and manually.

Avantages :

Centralize control, flexible with deployment, management, and vulnerabilities. Have a lot of powerful tools to use, if used correctly.

Inconvénients :

Managing the Threats by Software Vulnerabilities, hard to filter and organize devices in this view. Software deployment seems to need silent parameters, softwares would show up with a black box missing the GUI or just fails. Need a Reinstall GPO to perfectly make sure devices have working agent, this is still soemthing I'm struggling with as 300+ devices are showing more than 2 months of inactive.
