It's very simple to use and integrates great with Quickbooks online as you would expect.
I think all my conversations were with people out of the country. Really hard to understand and communication was a challenge.

Payroll Made Simple
Logiciel de paie
Avantages :
C'est Logiciel de paie très sécurisé et très précis. Il m'a permis de délégué beaucoup de tâches à ce logiciel
Inconvénients :
Pour ma part , il n'y a pas d'inconvénients particulier
QuickBooks Payroll a good choice for all but the smallest of small businesses
Commentaires : A reliable and accurate service providing pretty much everything the small business needs to generate a payroll and to remit taxes and tax filings in a timely basis. Good customer service. When new state taxes were introduced, it was sometimes difficult to get the calculation of taxes due correct and, in my case, QuickBooks was never able to successfully remit the Washington Family & Medical Leave tax.
Avantages :
A comprehensive online payroll service likely to meet the needs of most small businesses with good integration to other products and services sold by QuickBooks. Easy setup, good customer service. I liked being able to schedule so that payroll taxes were deducted from my corporate account close to the date the remittance was due to the taxing authority. Some payroll services deduct taxes from the bank account just after payroll is run, then hold it (presumably making interest on those funds) until the taxes are actually due. QuickBooks doesn't appear to do that.
Inconvénients :
A few too many steps are required to run a payroll with a few informational messages being displayed that I usually disregard (of the "are you sure you want to do that?" kind). Also, QuickBooks was never able to successfully report and remit certain of Washington's state taxes. QuickBooks' calculation of these taxes never quite matched the calculation made by the state taxing authority and correcting QuickBooks' record of what I actually paid was a bit complicated. Also, the price for this service is not competitive, compared to other services, for very small businesses.
A good All in One Payroll Software
Commentaires : This software saves me time and money getting the tedious job of payroll done and over with quickly and accurately.
Avantages :
I like the fact that Quickbooks Payroll allows a small buisness owner to keep track of hours worked, employee paychecks and billing all in one platform.
Inconvénients :
The pricing was a little higher than i would have liked but you get what you pay for and Quickbooks is the best ive ever used.
Quick books
Commentaires : It was good but I personally preferred the other brand we use
Avantages :
I liked the lay out of quick books but I didn’t get on with it maybe because I was used to another system
Inconvénients :
I didn’t like it as much as another product I was used to
Quickbooks Payroll is great!!
Commentaires : My overall experience with QuickBooks Payroll is good. I like the reports they offer with the payroll and even printing checks is easy. They also have a time tracking feature which could make it easier to track hours.
Avantages :
What I like most about Quickbooks Payroll is that it is easy to setup employees and their Tax Withholdings. I also like the reports on qb payroll versus other payroll platforms. It also has the ability to pay federal, state, and local taxes. I also like being able to have the support team to chat with if there are ever any issues.
Inconvénients :
What I like least about quickbooks payroll is when you need to have two checks for one employee in the same period you have to run the payroll and then you can run another afterwards to do an extra check for the employee.
QuickBooks Payroll - Luxury Payroll Option
Commentaires : Easy to set up and use, it tracks time, taxes, and lets you prepare your forms to send to the tax agencies and to your employees in January
Avantages :
easily track expenses, and compute taxes
Inconvénients :
the cost is expensive, and has increased drastically over the past several years
Quickbooks Payroll
Commentaires : Great. Any issues I’ve had were easily resolved
Avantages :
Ease of use. Updates are easy to install Good customer service
Inconvénients :
Sometimes tables aren’t updated for on time Wish there were more e pay options
easy to use
Commentaires : It is easy to use and does not require basic accounting skills. Quickbook can help you generate an invoice.
Avantages :
Clear and concise interface easy to use
Inconvénients :
If you don’t understand basic accounting logic, it’s difficult to work. But QuickBooks breaks this convention, such as the most basic and most frequently used function-automatic generation of Invoices.
Quickbooks Payroll
Commentaires : It took some time to remember to change the pay period, but after a few times of doing payroll under the incorrect pay period I now remember
Avantages :
Easy to use. Adjusting amounts, adding, editing employees - all done without difficulty
Inconvénients :
Always have to change the dates at the top. If the pay period ends on Sunday, when I go in on Monday to complete time, it automatically gives you the current pay period, but I’m entering the time for the pay period that just ended
QuickBooks Payroll Review
Commentaires : It's easy to use and helps you quickly pay your employees' salaries and taxes.
Avantages :
It has the advantage of being customizable to suit your business needs. QuickBooks Pay is also very user friendly, making it easy to use. The automatic payroll feature saves time, and reporting and paying taxes are handled efficiently. It also simplifies employee setup and onboarding.
Inconvénients :
I hope that 401k contributions and payments will be handled automatically by QuickBooks as the payer. Given that we are a small business, it was slightly more expensive than expected.
Quickbooks Paytoll
Commentaires : Pretty good payroll processer. It has a lot of customizable options, and is fairly easy to set up and use. Some features are not the best working, and support can often be lacking.
Avantages :
Mostly easy to use, very customizable and has multiple options for pay types
Inconvénients :
Often base overtime pay on the prevailing wage rate instead of the regular OT rate. Sometimes can be "clunky" to enter information
Payroll Service for Small Offices
Commentaires : I have not had any problems with quickbooks payroll at all. I would recommend this service to other businesses. I also found them to be cheaper that the other payroll companies out in the market.
Avantages :
This software is very easy to use. Has all of the options we need for tracking deductions, types of pay, vacation accruals, 401K, flexplan deductions, etc. Online check stubs for the employees. They can just log on and get a copy of their paycheck. They automatically receive an email when the check is ready to review. Easy data entry. Quickbooks takes care of all of the Federal and state filing forms and payments. If you use Quickbooks for your business you can set it up to automatically transfer the payroll to your general ledger. Saves time and prevents errors.
Inconvénients :
If you don't start out using this software with your quickbooks when you first implement - you are not able to keep your payroll history. If you need to convert from one software to another - I would recommend doing it at the time of your physical year.
Alternatives envisagées :
Works great! Syncs with QB.
Commentaires : Overall it's a strong product with all the features most people will need for their business. I used it for 2 restaurants and was very pleased with it. It's great to have all your finances in a single place.
Avantages :
I liked that it allowed me to keep my business finances in one place. It was easy to use and less expensive than a payroll company like ADP or paychex.
Inconvénients :
The accounts in my chart of accounts it setup would sometimes be confusing.
Alternatives envisagées :
Its a budget option, a good value for money
Commentaires : It is a reliable option Yes for a small business MYOB essential is a better option. Both quick books and XERo tried to make a software which will suit all business from small to very large. as a result they made the payroll needlessly too complicated for a small business owner. If you a in small business stick to MYOB essential, it is much easier to understand and to use.
Avantages :
It is Ok, not brilliant. It give basic options. It sia good value for money, as the monthly subscription is not too high compare to others.
Inconvénients :
I think it is complicated for many users. As tax accountant I have to fix their errors and I can see why they made it. It is too complicated.
The best payroll software I'm aware of
Commentaires : I use Quickbooks Payroll for multiple organizations to process all aspects of payroll. I have used it for employees in four different states. I've already mentioned how useful it is in automatically calculating and tracking everything. I also use it to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for government tax agencies. I especially appreciate the ability to e-file several tax reports and e-pay some taxes as well. Each year I prepare and file employees' w-2s using Quickbooks Payroll, which makes the process fairly simple.
Avantages :
My favorite thing about Quickbooks payroll also happens to be the most important thing about it...it is accurate! The payroll tax rates and rules are always updated to maintain accuracy in a changing landscape. When processing payroll, everything is automatically calculated and tracked for accuracy - including annual salary, vacation and/or sick pay, holiday pay, withholding tax, and unemployment tax. I don't have to worry about manually calculating things, knowing when there are tax changes, or potentially making mistakes.
Inconvénients :
I most dislike how expensive Quickbooks Payroll is. I only use the Enhanced Payroll subscription that integrates with existing Quickbooks desktop software or Quickbooks online subscription. That means I do all of actual work in processing payroll and payroll taxes, rather than using a more full-service option. I think the (ever increasing) several hundred dollars per year it costs to have the subscription is unreasonable. (In addition there's a separate fee for each direct deposit check.) However, the truth is, I rely so much on the functions of Quickbooks payroll that I continue utilizing it despite the cost complaints. I haven't come across anything better so I feel I have no choice.
If you are using contractors, QB online Premium is not a good solution
Commentaires : Overall good product, but frustrating for the segment that manages contractor payments.
Avantages :
pretty easy to use set up easily integrated in QuickBooks Online
Inconvénients :
Biggest issues are: -Customer service transfers you around many times because no one owns the issues with payroll with contractors. - Time drain - Normal issues have either taken multiple calls to resolve, or have taken hours on the phone because if an agent hangs up, they cannot continue to work on your issue - they have to take the next call - so they waste your time waiting while someone tries to read the full manual to figure it out, when in fact, it is a recent programming changes issue. - Integration with other Apps - You cannot integrate a time card app because only hours are uploaded from app to QuickBooks and we cannot map $/hr pay for contractors, only employees. Who focuses on contractor payments? - RECENT "improvements" and rate increase double the cost of the tool for my company.
QuickBooks Review
Commentaires : Personally I like quickbooks for the most part. My biggest issue is when I do call customer service for something I always get a different answer to the same question. It seems like most of the customer service reps don't actually know so they tell you what they think is right. It has been so frustrating that if [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] hadn't helped me I would have seriously considered another avenue then keeping quickbooks. I spoke with 6 different people about a corrections case and every time I was given conflicting information to the same question. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was the only rep that has really known what he was talking about and took the time to call me the next day and resolve the issue while also providing with the email to verify he was correct. He did a great job and i truly appreciate him. The res of your reps I have spoken to since March really don't seem to know and when I mention that they are providing conflicting info they blame it on "oh well sorry that person was mistaken." That is not acceptable.
Avantages :
The ability to run payroll efficiently, early and make edits before payday if need be. Also printing previous pay checks and payroll summary is very helpful
Inconvénients :
some of the reports are more complicated than they need to be and the credit card sync is not fluid. it creates too many duplicates when there is a business credit account with multiple cards on the same credit account.
Works for our relatively straight forward needs
Commentaires : It's been good, and I would recommend it to other companies that have a similar use case to us (not a crazy amount of employees, and no complicated setup for payments)
Avantages :
I've had many people tell me that QuickBooks Payroll isn't a "true" or "real" payroll system, but I have yet to experience any major problems. Our use case is fairly simple / straight forward, and we have 10's of employees, not 100's. In this context it works very well, handles all the tax reporting almost automatically (there is a bit of manual work, but it's trivial) and basically allows us to manage this fairly simply as a small company with not tons of resources. It handles the direct deposit for our employees nicely as well.
Inconvénients :
This is more of an issue with any Quickbooks product, not just Payroll. The UI is not always super clear, and sometimes you have to go to weird places (from a navigation perspective) to find a particular function. Getting our annual forms for employees and the government is always a pain, because it's been a year since it was done last and it takes some time to find where you can do it in the software. The support is also hit and miss. Sometimes the agent you get is very helpful and solves the problem relatively quickly, and sometimes the agent you get can't even really understand the problem no matter how often you explain it. Finally my last gripe is that I have to manage the dates to process payroll manually. i.e. Quickbooks knows when payroll has to be run, but doesn't send me any type of notification, so I have to manually track this. It occasionally results in running it too close to a holiday, resulting in staff getting paid a day late, I'd really appreciate it if I got a notice from Quickbooks on the last day to process on time, since it's only one of the many things I have to keep track of.
effortless book keeping
Commentaires :
experience with payroll is really cool, the software actually calculate the holdings and make life easy for me, definitely a robo accountant that i don't have to pay a salary to.
Over all experience : just love it and wish i had it from the beginning of my business. For new users, make use of support. Don't hesitate to call , ask questions , ask again if you have to they will walk you through it. Like i say be dumb and learn it . take the time to do so because the end result is amazing . knowing your finances is straight can save your life. aka....sleep well .
Avantages :
it keep track of your income and expenses by simply attaching your bank account. almost does your tax return. lol save a lot of time doing your data entry thus cost effective, no need for a special person to enter all your receipts etc keep correct info on all money related transaction and balance your check book , can keep your spending and saving on check. I can make adjustments by just looking at my balance sheet. almost cool for idiots to use. :) perfect
Inconvénients :
if i made a mistake and had to go hunting for the problem, but i can just call up support and let them know ( how stupid i was ) and they just fix it. so not really a con. for invoicing however , can take a little polishing up especially if i am doing an estimate and need to send it out, i must be extra cautious.
Unhappy Customer!!!

Having billing issues.
We discovered last month that we were being double billed for our QuickBooks payroll after we converted over to QuickBooks online.
Overpayment came to a total of $1127.
I and our accountant had to spend a total of over 5 hours on the phone attempting to get a refund for this overpayment. Finally my accountant got $474 promised back and had to compinsate me back another $474 from her small business. The other $237 was lost!
After discovering what the charge being taken out of our bank account by intuit was, i then attempted to find a phone number to discuss the issue. I was unable to find any contact information on the website or within our QuickBooks online account.
My accountant then showed me where online there was contact information. I then had to request a call back. There was no phone number or email to the contact Quickbooks with directly to get help with any issue including billing.
We both then spent at least five hours on the phone with different quick books representatives. These representatives were located in the Philippines and not even in the United States. They made promises of emailing me information of where they had authorityTo deduct directly from our checking account and failed to send the information. This was two different representatives. I still haven’t gotten this information.
Intuit has been getting double payment for our payroll services for 2 1/2 years!
Avantages :
Reconciling bank account both with bank and online.
Inconvénients :
Billing and lack of customer service! No direct contact phone numbers . Representatives in phillipines. Dropped calls and long waiting times. No email contact for help. Lack of follow through.
Full service is great choice for small S-Corps
Commentaires : I am a cash flow designer for small businesses. I put structures in place to get them moving their money around their small business for useful reporting and cash flow predictability. Often they are transitioning to S-Corp status and needing to level up their approach to Payroll. I like Quickbooks full service payroll for this.
Avantages :
Weekly Payroll at no extra cost, which is great for my clients who are primarily small S-Corps not used to running payroll; I have to get that money into their account so they don't mix up their funds and spend out of their business accounts on their personal life. I also like how when there are issues, they walk me through how to fix them in the interface really well. As a non-expert on payroll, using it for only a few clients, this has been really excellent.
Inconvénients :
I wish it was easier to change bank accounts for the draw. Over time I move clients from single checking accounts to split accounts with operations expenses separated in certain ways; at some interval I tend to want to move the payroll draw to a new bank account. This is hard, in part because the settings inside payroll are housed in a weird interface that locks up in weird ways if you login from various accounts at the same time. Feels like old old old software suddenly, not modern Intuit stuff.
A User for Over 20 Years
Commentaires : I have been using it for a very long time and am familiar with almost everything it has to offer even if I don't use some features. On a weekly use for 2 companies, it makes doing payroll fast and simple when using time sheets. It has some unfriendly features if you deviate from doing payroll that way -- like doing separate bonus checks, corporate officer year end checks, or anything that's not set as a regularly weekly paycheck. Some of the wording is confusing when doing those checks.
Avantages :
It's relatively easy to use once you set it up and take the time to understand the tax lines to which expenses, income, payroll, etc should be assigned. Once you learn how to use it and custom your reports, it saves time and the data from years back can be accessed.
Inconvénients :
It gets too complicated in generating reports. If you only use the reports as QB configures them, you won't get the most accurate view of the business. And I do NOT like the password being required on my own device. I want to decide that for myself. It's a real pain to have to log into a device that only I use even if you can set it for 90 days. I don't want to do that at all.

Save the day!!
Commentaires : LMR saved me and my team getting paid and walked me through and entire process in one hour that took Surepayroll a month to do. And didn't even get it right. LMR saved that day and it was so refreshing and easy to use and she was so knowledgeable and helpful and really went over and above what I could ask for. I can't believe I didn't sign up with Intuit payroll first. Now I know!
Avantages :
the UI, ease of use and how everything flows and is connected
Inconvénients :
I can't think of anything right now. So, I may have to get back to you.
Best of the Best
Avantages :
Love using Quickbooks compared to everything else we've ever tried
Inconvénients :
Not really much, other than the learning curve, but they help out with that a ton. For example, I spoke with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] today who walked me through something I was having issues with. Great job!
Alternatives envisagées :
User Friendly
Avantages :
Customizable for my business, I like that some items are automatic.
Inconvénients :
I wish I could make 401k contributions and dhhr payments through quickbooks so that it was done automatically with payroll. I can make deductions but would love for them to be sent.
