The previous version (about a year ago) was reliable, easy to use, and had all the features to expedite workflow in going from a raw screen recording to a polished video. > > **Inconvénients**: The current software is unusable. The most significant issues are in corrupted and failed recordings. Short segments (roughly a word or two in length) are randomly dropped at multiple points in a recording, and in other cases the recording stops (without warning) midway through. More generally, where once the editor was slick and responsive, it has become glitchy and laggy. It does not accurately show the video in the timeline (so it is not synced with the audio, making edits almost impossible). My last few recordings I tried multiple times, but each one had major errors and I finally gave up, cancelled my subscription, and moved onto other software tools. > > Unfortunately, the developers have slowly destroyed what was a fantastic tool. This has been very sad to watch. I truly enjoyed using Descript before and raved about it to everyone. The fact that the developers push new updates and features at a seemingly daily basis seems to be at the heart of things. This is without providing support or real-time usage. The trial/free plan claims each month, you are provided with usage credits/minutes. But my experience 1st used there was NO monthly minutes provided, only big+bold adv to upgrade to a paid plan.
