En savoir plus sur Cvent Event Management
Une plateforme complète de marketing et de gestion d'événements qui gère l'ensemble du cycle de vie de l'événement (en personne et virtuel), du début à la fin.
I really enjoy how it is able to integrate with other systems to enhance the capabilities or to leverage existing information instead of having to recreate everything.
I don't know if the issue was software-based, or due to admin error, however. I think part of the problem is that the system can be complicated in setting up, and needs expertise to fully leverage.

One-Stop for Event Management and Registration Needs
Une solution daté et extremement cher. A fuir !

Life saver
Commentaires : We use it daily and it makes every task more streamlined and efficient. It is very professional and flexible.
Avantages :
The new technical that is released frequently
Inconvénients :
I don't have many cons but the only part that needs updating for me was the badges web desinger and in Cvent connect they confirmed this has been updated now, which makes us very happy customers
Amazing all in one program
Avantages :
i love the ability to manage all aspects of the event through one cloud based software
Inconvénients :
lag times or when there is a system issue but its not often
Alternatives envisagées : Splash
Pourquoi passer à Cvent Event Management : price and options were not the same as what we wanted
Cvent Event Education Services
Avantages :
Great software program for educational services learning how to manage events and the proper documents needed (i.e., RFP).
Inconvénients :
There are no instructions or examples on how to accurately and properly fill out certain documents and forms, such as a request for proposal form.
Easy to Use; professional
Commentaires : I have absolutely loved working with Cvent and have been a loyal customer for a decade. I highly recommend Cvent Event Management!
Avantages :
The Cvent Event Management Platform is so easy to use! The team at Cvent sets you up for success, training you and your team to build your own registration systems and event emails. This allows you to have full, customizable control of the product and create a seamless and branded experience for your users.
Inconvénients :
The cost is a bit higher than some other platforms, particularly if you only have limited use for the system.
Feedback
Commentaires : It has been a learning curve but we are getting to the point where we are perfectionist and targeting more does issues we are getting but everything else is fabulous
Avantages :
I really like the bespoke building of events / tayloring
Inconvénients :
VAT issues sometimes when amending transactions the VAT option disappears
Alternatives envisagées : Bizzabo et Swapcard
Pourquoi passer à Cvent Event Management : Pending approvals and more customised experiences
Cvent Event Management is an easy and effective management tool
Commentaires : I enjoy building our programs on Cvent, there was a learning curve as with all systems, but with Cvent's wide range of help desk options we know we always have resources at our fingertips to help us along the way.
Avantages :
We use Cvent event management daily for multiple clients in a various array of fields. Cvent allows us to customize our registration sites so we can relay meeting specific information to our attendees. We build simple to very complex sites, mobile apps, in-person, virtual and hybrid events. Having one platform that allows us to build all of these options based on our clients needs is amazing, easy, and time saving. We can easily provide reporting, planner alerts, session content and so much more.
Inconvénients :
I'm still getting used to the new mobile app layout and features. I used to build the mobile apps on the old Cvent platform and there are a few features I miss having access to such as groups, which made assigning last minute breakouts for attendees a bit easier.

Thanks for your feedback Denise! Just to let you know, Audience Segmentation (Groups) in Attendee Hub allows you to configure page visibility and push notifications. We are happy to report that it will include sessions very soon and should give you the capabilities you have described. It should be available in the next month.
Feedback
Commentaires : One a vert long way in last 4 years. Slow to pivot during pandemic but seems now back on track
Avantages :
Freedom to create templates that are unique to our business
Inconvénients :
Payments especially vat splits and refunds
Event Management
Commentaires : I highly recommend it. Support is always there to help and are quick with their replies. Being able to manage the attendees has been very easy with information right at your fingertops.
Avantages :
Once you know how to use it, it has all information you need to manage an event. The registration is easy for attendees. Managing the attendees is easy with the reports you can run.
Inconvénients :
Takes getting used to. Training could be more complete. I feel like the training videos do not cover everything. Needs some updates to make it smoother.
Streamlines registrations of all sizes
Avantages :
Whether we're hosting an event for 5 or 5,000 cvent registration helps us streamline our registration process and turn a manual or complex process with ease. We can then do post-reg reports, follow-ups and cross-event attendance analytics with ease.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes the need to create custom fields or the understanding of how to 'register on behalf of someone'. The one thing I think we dislike the most is if during set up you create a mandatory checkbox question (i.e. agree to our Terms and Conditions) you can't just edit the text if you find a typo, you have to delete it and start over.

For real-time attendee engagement
Commentaires : Tried Cvent for an event around 400-500 people in a venue along with other software, results were great.
Avantages :
Provides real-time view from registration to attending an event, can be managed agendas and sessions with single click, allows multiple users, even during the event and at the end it can generate reports and gives analytics.
Inconvénients :
Still lots of features can be added into the product.

Thanks for leaving feedback Bo! We have a very active roadmap for our products. If you haven't already, please subscribe to Cvent Product News so we can tell you what is included in each release. Right now we are doing releases every 2 weeks! If there are any specific features you would like to see, please let me know and I will be happy to forward them on to our Product Managers
Robust tool for sending out RFPs, creating and managing event registrations, and proving ROI.
Avantages :
The RFP tool has made life so much easier when sourcing hotel and putting together proposals. Before cvent all of this was manual, now it is automated and you can review each hotel in one place before you source them. For the event management tool, there are just so many features and widgets that you can use for your events. If booking hotels the registration form can integrate with passkey so the attendee can reserve a room right away. It also integrates with our GDS to our air team has the most up to date requests in their system. The On Arrival suite and the Crowd Compass app are huge time savers for large events. We used the On Arrival suite to check in attendees at a recent event, print their name badges, and confirm their optional activities all in one place and on average it took less than 5 minutes to do all of this. The Crowd Compass app was easy to set up and customize for each event and really streamlined the onsite process for our planners and attendees. I have used the app for a conference I attended as well as for events that I planned. Instead of printing out hundreds of pages (schedules, maps, surveys, so on...) for each person Crowd Compass houses everything an attendee needs. You can upload the event agenda, map of the conference center, you can send notifications about room changes or special pop up events, take real time polls/surveys, and network with the other event attendees through the app.
Inconvénients :
It is difficult to navigate and not very intuitive, I frequently find myself searching for the field I need or calling support because I have an issue I can't solve...and I have used the event management tool for over 3 years now, on a regular basis too! The travel module does not integrate well with the rest of the event management models. I am hoping that Flex will solve some of the issues but that will not be completed until Oct. 2018. Reporting is confusing, they offer so many report options which is great but finding the correct report is a challenge. You can create a custom report but again the types you choose from are not intuitive. For example, I recently had to create an air actual report so I chose the report type air actual; however with that report type certain features like airline and the record locator are not available (those fields seem kind of important when pulling a report about flight). I have to select the report type, air actual details, in order for those fields to show.
Cven Event Management Review
Commentaires : We finally have a program where attendees can look over a webpage with all event info and register easily, so our attendee experience has definitely improved. We are also able to send auto follow up emails to all registered attendees allowing us to send registration confirmations, event reminders, cancellations, etc. which has allowed the planners to free up time to focus on executing the event itself rather than sending emails individually to each attendee. The reports also allow us to communicate registrations to our sales staff efficiently so they are aware at all times who is registered as they promote our events.
Avantages :
I have been using Cvent for over 2 years now and would recommend it to any company that is looking for a platform to manage events. We utilize it for event webpages, capturing attendee info, reporting, lead scoring for those that attend or participate at our events, OnArrival check in and the supplier network to source venues. There are many more functions of the program that can cater to your company needs and they continue to integrate with additional companies to help in having everything you need within 1 system. Cvent also released a new version of their program called FLEX which allows planners to design their own webages without being knowledged in HTML which has been a lifesaver!
Inconvénients :
I think because there are so many ways you can use the software, it takes a little time to figure out what exact configurations you need. It has been a trial and error in creating our events initially, but I think we are finally at a place where our team feels comfortable and confident with the platform and how we set up our events.
Overall, Cvent has been a great tool for our team and I can't imagine our jobs without it.
Commentaires : hours of time saved, real-time data upkeep, travel integration, etc.
Avantages :
The Cvent software is a data gold mine. The days of manually updating/manipulating spreadsheets are long gone and it can all be done simultaneously in Cvent. It has saved our team hundreds of hours of work.
Inconvénients :
One of the things I like least about Cvent is their pricing structure. There are so many features that our team would love to implement to take our events to the next level (Passkey, OnArrival, etc.) but we often struggle with convincing the budget keepers the cost is worth it. For instance, our team is completely on board with OnArrival, but stakeholders question the thousands of dollars it will cost when we can continue to pre-print tags before the event.

Cvent is the total package
Commentaires : I've been using Cvent for over seven years and have watched it evolve and continue to improve and expand its scope. I love working in Cvent and building sites for my customers!
Avantages :
There are very few things that Cvent isn't designed to do, or if not, a workaround can't be determined with a little bit of effort. I love that the entire event process is integrated from event sourcing to final metric reporting. The registration platform is powerful, and can encompass multiple admission types, registration types, pricing structures, and registration experiences within one event. The accompanying website is easy to build with their tools and can create an elegant, branded marketing piece. Their new mobile app, while not quite as strong as their previous offering, is better integrated with the registration platform and being updated consistently for improvement.
Inconvénients :
The email marketing is less evolved than the rest of the platform and a bit less flexible to design and work with.
Do NOT fall for the salesman reroutine
Commentaires : We have had a horrible experience with Cvent. Our industry is in crisis mode due to the pandemic and they will not work us at all. We came up with completly reasonable solution that anyone would agree works for both companies, but their solution is only if you sign for a longer term. Why would we sign on for a longer term when the software is not up to par? It's all about them making their money and making sure they stay in business. They are a not a team or a partnership. It's all about their bottom line and they don't care about their clients that they destroy in their path to make that $. Buyer beware. I think they are scrubbing the negative reviews to keep a high number of stars to dupe potential clients.
Avantages :
After many work arounds you can make this software work. Does it do everything they promise and seamless like they promised, no. We didn't pay tons of money (triple our other vendor offering the same thing) to have to do workarounds and have to still purchase additional better software to get the job done. So much for being the "leader in the industry".
Inconvénients :
There are too many things to count. Simple things that you would think would be obvious are not options. This was supposed to be a partenrship not a battle. We have a LONG list of things they promised that they could not deliver. Promised features that are a year away from development, with no mention it's years away. Once you sign the dotted line the restrictions soon follow. Do NOT sign with them.
Cvent Success
Commentaires : Cvent has been very great to my company. We regularly call Cvent to make changes or gain insight into how we can use Cvent better and to its full potential. We appreciate that Cvent takes our ideas into consideration and they have even implemented a couple ideas that my boss had suggested to them!
Avantages :
I love the new Flex component of Cvent. It is more friendly as a newer user and modern. The back side to building registration variants are very moldable and workable for my company. We use so many features that as a whole our travel sector of the company is training our Cvent skillset since we look forward to using Cvent for many years to come.
Inconvénients :
I wish the capabilities to for building websites had more flexibility. Yes, we are still able to build beautiful websites but Cvent can be so finicky with what is and is not allowed in terms of designing a website.
Many Features for the Wanting
Avantages :
This app platform is one that will do just about everything you would need in a program for the right price. They look into many features and navigation options gearing you towards building a social media network during your entire program . Many features are available but not necessarily known right away. A deeper dive into this software can really open up your creative side. A mobile iPhone, Android and iPad friendly version is available along with the "web" view for those who dare to be different with their Windows and BB devices or just want to play on their PCs instead.
Inconvénients :
Price & Analytics. This is more on the expensive end of programs but is worth it if you need the extra features. The big drawback for this user is the lack of analytics post program. You first have to be able to read a JSON file and you can't get these results without phoning into support for them to pull this information as well. After you receive this, it will give you basic stats, but fails to tell you what sections of your app was visited most / least frequently. This needs to be fixed.
Company Wide Dissent
Commentaires : Our overall experience with Cvent has not been optimal.
Avantages :
I inherited Cvent. The community forums (especially the hacks) are a great resource.
Inconvénients :
One of the most disappointing aspects of Cvent was being told several years ago that we "had to switch to Flex" since Classic was being discontinued, and as of August 2020, there are many features still not available in Flex. So many features were not in play once Flex was rolled out that we put all our 150+ events back into classic. The convoluted process to do many tasks within the platform is frustrating for everyone (literally everyone) in our organization who has used it for the past six years.
A Feature Rich Event Management Platform
Commentaires : Cvent is an essential tool for management of our large conferences and occasional webinars. It is a daily resources to monitor the registration of our events and to communicate with potential and confirmed attendees.
Avantages :
Cvent is a robust platform with a lot of different options for event management of all kinds. My organization utilizes its services to support in-person conferences and webinars throughout the calendar year. There are many options for building out the registration, developing the event's website and sending event-related emails to invitees and registrants.
Inconvénients :
The diversity of Cvent's options can sometimes be a downfall, as there are some features my organization doesn't utilize. The valuable functions can get lost in the menus full of other options. Thankfully, I've worked with the platform for several years now, so I'm reasonably well-versed in what is helpful to me and what is not, but I think there can be a steep learning curve for more casual users.
MHES Review - Racheal
Commentaires : It is great! Couldn't do my job without it - and the customer support is amazing.
Avantages :
Website, registration, email designers are super helpful. I have been using Cvent for 10+ years and have transitioned from Cvent "Classic" to Cvent "Blue" and the improvements are so helpful and efficient!
Inconvénients :
Submitting payments for groups of registrants, post-registration, is a difficulty we continue to run into. As a healthcare system, mainly providing educational events for our medical staff - many folks register for an event at separate times as their team-mates, but when it comes time to pay the fees on a corporate card - it is a pain not being able to select multiple registrants to bundle into one payment process.
Overall Cvent is very helpful when you are a one person circus for events in the office.
Avantages :
All of the different reporting options and other products that cvent has to offer. I am excited about the new project flex since that will allow for more customization and ability top make every website for registration look unique to its own purpose.
Inconvénients :
There are times when I am performing a certain task that the cvent software is not very user friendly. For example when I am viewing all invitess and registrants in order to advance to another page I have to scroll all the way to the bottom and it does not show as an option at the top of page. Also, if I am on page two of the attendee list and click on a name. When I go back it does not take me back to the page it was on, it takes me to the very first page. So when you have 4 pages and on top of that i have to scroll every time to the bottom of the page it is annoying. Also, Cvent does not yet have the capability to do bulk payments or edits when changing a registration type.
Great tool, but complexity results in less adoption
Commentaires : Visibility and supports Duty of Care
Avantages :
The full 'end to end' solution is the great thing about Cvent, from registering the need for a meeting or event, through to sourcing, event website, attendee invites (with a whole load of functionality) through budgets, on-site management and ROI.
Inconvénients :
Cvent is very complex which limits adoption. Inevitably, with such a great end to end solution, complexity is expected, but nevertheless this is the unfortunate downside...

CVent helps us make our events successful and has allowed us to go paperless at our conferences.
Commentaires : Many--too many to list! CVent helps the planning process of our events simple.
Avantages :
The ease of submitting payments online (both checks and credit cards); being able to copy over events and update as you go; having a separate website for each event; having access to customer support in a matter of minutes.
Inconvénients :
Searching for attendees can be tricky sometimes (people who had been registered didn't know up on our reports).

It does the job, but new releases can be frustrating
Avantages :
Robust event management and registration capabilities Many ways to customize to your brand/event Responsive customer service/tech support via chat and email Ability to automate emails and track opens, clicks, etc. Widget-based event website makes setup easy; HTML widget allows more customization Ability to use standard and custom data tags in emails
Inconvénients :
Membership and e-marketing modules are clunky and haven't been updated/improved in years Limited capabilities in e-marketing (no A/B testing, no series/time-based emails, no way for subscribers to change frequency of emails - you're either subscribed or opted out) New product rollouts (Flex) take years and release dates delayed several times Some features still not operational in Flex, but can no longer use legacy software No longer offers the ability to modify CSS in event registration website
