We have been using this tool in our project to put forth improvement ideas for our team.

Commentaires : This has become a part of our team activity where we log our ideas, comment on other's ideas and track the ideas to closure thus improving the overall functioning of the team.

Avantages :

One of our track leads introduced this tool to our team around one year back. Since then, team has raised around 56 ideas and it has led to many process improvements in the team. Team is very happy with the tool because of its ease of use. Email notifications to the wider team audience helps get useful review comments on the ideas. Bright Idea moderators help to move the ideas forward to closure. Overall, the team is happy to use the tool and make a difference to their routine work.

Inconvénients :

The email notification feature is very good, however, if it is feasible to include the whole comment in the email, it will help save time to login to the bright idea site just to see the comments.

Ideation software with built in features that you won't know you need until later

Commentaires : We are a very large company and have been working with Bright Idea for 4+ years. Overall, the experience has been a very positive one with teams using the Ideation software for initiatives such as Process, manufacturing, patient and other areas of improvement. There are tangible benefits to the Ideation process and Bright Idea goes a long way in helping us receive those benefits.

Avantages :

Having been an Enterprise Admin for 2 years; there are 4 general areas of focus in considering what I like best about Bright Idea. First, the end-user experience, those that come to a Challenge to submit, vote or comment on ideas. The interface is very straightforward and intuitive. I have yet to receive an end-user inquiry about how to use or what to do. Grade: A+ The next areas is Site (or Campaign) Administration; this is relevant for Challenge and Community Administrators - people running the campaigns. Typically, there is a small learning curve where you can show Managers easy-to-configure functional-widgets which provide a wealth of functionality in an easy to teach/use interface. Functional options can range from simple to advanced and can accommodate users on either plain. Grade: A+ As an Enterprise Administrator, there are a large number of features that can be customized for the Enterprise-wide site or individual Challenge experiences. I had one complaint about this tool is that there are too many features, which at times can feel a little overwhelming to when first learning the product. Grade: A Finally, Customer Service. The team is outstanding. Very responsive, easily understood, available when needed. This has made a big difference in the success of our use of Bright Idea. Grade: A++

Inconvénients :

As an Enterprise Administrator there is a learning curve for many functional options that can take awhile to understand. Also, I am not a fan of some of the terminology such as "webstorm".

Unique but cumbersome

Commentaires : I like how you can customize the entire thing. It's a proper web application. You can make it as advanced, simple, or personally branded as you need. I also greatly enjoyed and appreciate the BI support.
I generally think it is too cumbersome, and it took me a while to learn how to use, at least the backend. Maybe that is the nature of backends. At first Brightidea felt like I was in a pilot's cockpit, with too many knobs and buttons to keep track of. The features also make the backend slow and not snappy like a fun/good piece of software.

Great Innovation Platform!

Commentaires : The experience with Brightidea has been great so far! I believe we made an excellent choice as a company for choosing Brightidea 2 years ago. The fact that Brightidea is also evolving and willing to take on suggestions as a means of continuous improvement of their platform is quite commendable. The company lives and breathes innovation par excellence!

Avantages :

I have found the customization features relatively easy to use compared to previous platforms that we adopted. The ability to add steps and create rules in the innovation pipeline set up helps to create the various dynamics that we needed as we shape our relatively complex innovation and product development process. Integration with our processes was a bit challenging at first, but overtime we found ways to adapt the platform to meet our needs.

Inconvénients :

The ability to have all the functionalities we enjoy on the desktop version within the mobile app option would definitely be a good improvement.

One of the best ideation platforms out there!

Commentaires : Great customer service, abundance of out-of-the box features as well as a company that listens to Customer feedback.

Avantages :

Outside of the the great customer service the company provides, the ease of use and features are what make Brightidea stand out. Our customers have especially enjoyed the back-end idea management interface to be able to rank, sort, and group ideas that have come in from solvers. With a large company and thousands of ideas flowing in, this is a key features that other platforms have failed to address meaningfully.

Inconvénients :

The one potential disadvantage of the tool is that advanced customizations will require professional services support which add up. Out of the box, however, the platform will service 90%+ of the Customer base so that may not be a big issue.

Avantages :

The ease of use of the tool. The ability for the end users to collaborate and share ideas across all work streams. The platform captures all submissions and allows the end user group to tailor to their needs what the whole submission and evaluation process consist of.

Inconvénients :

When viewing submissions the ease of use can be challenging. When viewing submission within the pipeline you are not able to see the specific number attached to the submission without hovering over the specific submission. Being able to tailor the layout of the submission form to meet the end users needs.

Inconvénients :

Not much customizable for specifical needs. Customer support can be much creative in solving problems.

Commentaires : Employee engagement. Critical in fostering a culture of innovation, and sourcing sustaining and disruptive ideas to our product line, services, operations, and industry.

Avantages :

Ease of use for end-users and administrators. The program is fun to use. Employees in our company enjoy having a platform to share their ideas and collaborate with their peers.

Inconvénients :

Setup menus can be consolidated. Different types and managing communications is confusing: Enterprise Set-up > Site > Newsletters; Enterprise Setup > Site > System Email Messages; Communications pillar; Setup pillar > Rules Engine > Email Templates.

Positive experience with Brightidea software and support.

Avantages :

intuitive, easy to use user interface - no end user training required. full function, end-to-end idea management tool. Crowd sourcing, collaboration and built-in social media capabilities. Scorecarding, reports. Configurable, cloud implementation. Automated feedback mechanisms to update submitters and others on progress. Good support. Good value for money.

Inconvénients :

Back-end administration not as intuitive to me as the front end. Needs a knowledgeable administrator to take full advantage of all the tool has to offer.

Innovation organized and efficient!

Avantages :

It is important that it is easy to use to a certain point. Same applies to customization features. But it is improving constantly, so it's great. Offers a wide range of evaluation tools and makes collaboration easy. It boost productivity and innovation significantly. Innovation and initiatives are generated with ease.

Inconvénients :

You can extract data to excel and generate your own reports, but the idea would be that those reports were generated by the software itself.

Leader In Innovation Challenge Software

Commentaires : Using BrightIdea to help run our innovation challenge program has been a wonderful experience. The software is easy to use for both admin's and most importantly users. Their features cover all aspects of the innovation life-cycle allowing for everything to be completed and tracked in one place. And their customer support has exceed our expectations, they have done a fantastic job and helping us scale our program in the right ways.

Avantages :

It's extremely easy for users to understand and use it, thereby making engagement an easy sell. The features they support are also extensive and they continue to add new ones to support a growing program.

Inconvénients :

A few bugs have made setup from an admin standpoint more time consuming then they should be, but work around are available and they are quick to respond to our needs.

Robust tools with lots of features.

Avantages :

Great customer support from the BrightIdea team, from sales to technical support and training. Wonderful support on boarding new customer and tremendous value.

Inconvénients :

User interface design can be a bit more simplistic. e.g. like Apple website, or aesthetics of Apps like Slack.

Good user interface on the front end, back end is a bit trickier.

Avantages :

The software is easily scalable and easily accommodates our many users. We enjoy being able to launch many different challenges fairly frequently.

Inconvénients :

We would love to have more support for 'open ideation' platforms at a large scale. It is valuable for companies to engage their employees beyond ROI of their ideas by making them feel heard and listened to.

Avantages :

easy to use, functional and customizable. mobile app is helping us to reach all workers. new features are coming to make our work easier.

Inconvénients :

doesn't support multi language and facing bugs. web storm admins need more role in the platform.

When it comes to organization the webstorms are helpful The platform is relatively easy to use, customize and collect data And I do like setting things on my own and being able to come up with new strategies from data analysis

Truth be told: I do hate it's chat mechanism All the users, the team and I just can't get it, so we communicate via email Other than that, I'm having struggle to set up customized and independent pages and I would love to have a way to merge categories and pipeline stages

Limited out of the box (non-code) flexibility of campaign pages. Something like 3 column and footer layout, or two column layout. The ability to switch these after a campaign is created.

I use BI daily to schedule appointments and to track project activity.

Avantages :

Keeps me on point with where projects are in the pipeline. Helps me to make decisions on what projects will move forward and which projects will be exited. Gives me the opportunity to make email contact with constituents from BI.

Inconvénients :

I can't determine who used the system last and may have moved things around. Needs a tracking mechanism.

Avantages :

It is pretty easy to use and has a nice "social media-like" interface which everyone is used to. It gives me the ability to see ideas entered by our customers but also manage the backlog of ideas.

Inconvénients :

There isn't much I don't like about this. I don't use all of the features but that is because I don't have the time to leverage all of those capabilities.

Great tool for businesses

Commentaires : I believe the Brightidea program is a great tool to allow a whole company across different regions to see what things they have issues with or maybe solutions to processes we may already be dealing with. There really isn't another outlet like this on such a broad scale out there currently. Sometimes things come up in your region of the company and often wonder if you are the only area having this issue or this idea and this allows everyone to know "you aren't alone". Having leadership feedback for ideas is also a great way to see that someone hears you and will be reactive.

Avantages :

It was easy to use and navigate. It works similar to a social media site that lets you "like" the content someone added and allowed you to see responses and updates as they happened. I like being able to see information about common issues throughout our business and collaborate on ideas.

Inconvénients :

I do not have any dislikes at this time. Over time, with more use, there may be things to add in the future but in its current state, it works fine.

Avantages :

I find the tool is very end user friendly. Our customers (employees) find submission of their thoughts to be an easy exercise.

Inconvénients :

For future improvement, I think support for more general ideation could be improved, including enhanced tools for idea reviewers to reply to and track the implementation of ideas.

Avantages :

The wide variety of apps and features has been very beneficial in helping us tackle challenging problems in our company. We have been able to move quickly to vet ideas and processes and make a real impact.

Inconvénients :

There are some features that the software doesn't have that are unique to our industry and business case, but Brightideas is willing to talk and help us develop the tools we need.
