It supports a wide variety of data sources and destinations. It has robust qualities such as programming of transformation tasks, as well as the tracking of said processes. ODI has precedents in terms of performance, that is, if the priority of an organization is the processing of information volumes, having at hand a robust but flexible tool then ODI is a great option. The way in which ODI is built in its architecture, allows changes to be made quickly, with ease from a technical perspective but with a great impact for business areas. We have a multi-million customer base. So the Big data team wanted an ETL tool which can manipulate the high volume of data with high performance. After long research, we chose ODI. We have installed the ODI in a clustered environment. Basically it runs on top of the Oracle Weblogic Server. However, install installation was quite hard. But we were able to manage that. We could able to interface ODI with hundreds of supported data sources.
