Anyone with multiple locations will benefit from this platform. With some experience, the reports are extremely customizable to your exact needs as well.

Inconvénients :

I wouldn't mind if there was a "lite" or "simple" solution. But I guess I can see where that would undermine the overall software architecture.

Commentaires : Before, we were using Quickbooks, and it was a pain to consolidate financials because we couldn't have more than two businesses open at once. Sage allows you to work in as many separate entities as necessary while yet having the ability to aggregate your financial data automatically if so configured.

Avantages :

Sage Intacct's real-time budget visibility and user-friendliness are two of my favorite features. Putting in an order for purchase and checking to see whether we have the correct estimate before submitting it is also a huge plus in my book. It's incredibly simple to operate. Our previous method was likewise simple to pick up. Our team was able to quickly put this into action.

Inconvénients :

The drawback is short-lived and might not even affect all users. Getting proficient in its use, something that is both necessary and anticipated.

Solid Product, Flexible but Unduly Complicated Reporting

Commentaires : Overall, I am generally pleased with the working version of Sage Intacct that I have, but it has been an arduous journey to get here. I would recommend that you are careful with your implementation partner as many headaches can be avoided with a thoughtful, thorough cutover.

Avantages :

I like the flexibility that Sage gives me in terms of reporting and I like the accounting I can assign to department heads for approval of their spending.

Inconvénients :

I think there is a complexity to the reportage that is unnecessary. The account group structure is difficult to navigate and must be maintained diligently if your chart of accounts changes.

Pourquoi choisir Sage Intacct : Quickbooks no longer provided the flexibility necessary to do the kind of reporting required for grant management.

Commentaires : Our experience is OK. We spend more then needed since we cannot remove international currency and we never even used it. Support is just OK, as we are always referred to long articles when we just need simple instructions. The system is mostly user friendly outside of reporting.

Avantages :

The ability to create your own views. I find the system to be pretty user friendly.

Inconvénients :

The reporting module is very difficult and we can never get reporting support, always told we need to contact professional services for non-complex reporting that should be basic reports. And don't like having to log in to a site to submit cases, would rather email and be able to see the email history versus signing in to review the full case.

Sage Intacct Grows With Your Company

Commentaires : Sage Intacct helps us close our books within our required reporting deadline of workday 5. Using integrations allows us to eliminate manual work. In addition, it is scalable so it can grow with us. No solution is perfect and others were researched prior to our decision to implementing Sage Intacct and we believe we made the right choice in selecting Sage Intacct

Avantages :

I like the way that other programs, ADP Payroll and Ramp Visa integrate into Sage Intacct. That saves a lot of time.

Inconvénients :

I dislike how deposits are posted in the general ledger. For example: If there's a deposit that contains multiple payments and the total deposit amount is not reflected in the Cash GL but it is posted by individual invoice line items. If a deposit of $20,000 contains 20 checks ( or credit card payments) from vendors that are paying multiple invoices (for this example, 5 invoices for each payment) the deposit total of $20K doesn't appear as a single debit to the Cash, GL account but 100 lines appear on the Cash GL.

Sage Intacct experience

Commentaires : We have used almost 7 years and it has served us well in all aspects of accounting, payables, cash management, General Ledger and Reporting.

Avantages :

Really good integrated accounting system with good modules and great reporting capabilities.

Inconvénients :

No real cons. Some modules have some learning curve but not unmanageable. Would like to see improvement on Fixed Asset module. Ok as is but could be better integrated.

Commentaires : Experience with post software itself and with support have been positive. Believe that product has ‘top tier’ accounting / financial functionality at a ‘mid-tier’ price.

Very robust system. Easy to give business users access to information and reporting that they need. Very good reporting capabilities.

Very satisfied with product. Wished was a little certainty in long term product pricing.

Visibility into your business made easy

Commentaires : As the CFO, I find it easy to use and get to the information I need to run my business. It is also easy to onboard new accounting staff as the Sage University and many of the short tutorials help get them up to speed quickly.

Avantages :

The ease of use in finding what you need. The ability to drill down quickly, to spin up adhoc reports, and the creation of dashboards that have all the key financial data at your fingertips.

Inconvénients :

Sage Intacct is always looking to improve, and they have a democratic way to determine those improvements through the Sage Community voting system. This is great, but there are 4 releases per year and it is just hard to keep up with all the improvements!

An Accountant's Dream Accounting System

Commentaires : Wonderful. I have converted to Intacct for 3 different companies for which I've worked.

Avantages :

Ease of use, creating reports is easy, importing journal entries

Inconvénients :

Cannot zero out beginning of year balances of Non-Financial accounts. Balances roll over. Should have the option of zeroing out or balance forward at year-end.

Alternatives envisagées : NetSuite

Pourquoi choisir Sage Intacct : MAS90 had too many limitations. Report creation was difficult.

Sage Intacct - making complicated accounting more user friendly

Commentaires : Sage Intacct is a very decent system that I would recommend for the high volume client or med to large businesses. It is easy to manipulate but kind of difficult to learn all of the moving parts. It does integrate with a lot of other cloud based systems.

Avantages :

Sage Intacct is a robust system that allows the user to manage many parts of their financials in one program.

Inconvénients :

There are almost too many parts to the system that make it difficult to teach and understand. Posted vs non-posted accounts for one makes reconciling difficult at times.

Alternatives envisagées : MIP Fund Accounting, QuickBooks Enterprise et QuickBooks Online

Commentaires : Grea experience - importing data when we converted was easy. Recommendation for a Consultant for complex bridging was a good experience.

Avantages :

Ability to upload data. Used a great deal for Journal Entries and Input from Sales Software.

Inconvénients :

The approval of Payables link doesn't take Approvers to the proper Company level.

Commentaires : I have always been a fan of Sage and continue to be.

Avantages :

Reporting, Dashboards and statistical data. You can make a report on almost anything - setting them up however can be complex. I love being able to monitor non financial data in the statistical entries.

Inconvénients :

The Fixed Asset module is far too complex and does not manage the reducing balance method in Britain currently. This was tested various times with ourselves and the implementation team.

Still beginners but growing into Sage

Avantages :

It will accommodate our organization for many years to come. We are able to automate processes and we are learning how to use features in Sage at a deeper level.

Inconvénients :

Our implementation was rough, but we have spoken to many who had lovely integrations and deployments! Speak up if you feel like your implementation team is just going through the motions.

Don't understand the hype

Commentaires : We bought a canned package for our industry which was supposedly pre setup out of the box. It wasn't, many of the functions are still not working such as ASC 606 Deferred Revenue. The implementation was a disaster and we are still fixing bugs so it is not working anywhere near the way it should.
The represented integrations turned out not to exist.
Also functionality which to me should just be part of the package are not and it seems when you bring it to their attention all they want to do is upsell you a support package to fix what should be integral to the package already.
Very disappointed if I had to do it over probably would have kept looking and not made the switch.
There were so many misrepresentations as to functionality and integrations it wasn't worth it.

Ability to extract Data for reporting purposes

Inconvénients :

The functionality is quite frankly poor at best. The user interface in 1980's.

Alternatives envisagées : NetSuite

Pourquoi choisir Sage Intacct : We were looking for a more robust solution as it was time to switch out of QuickBooks Online to an ERP. We wanted a single source solution which Sage Intacct offered.

Pourquoi passer à Sage Intacct : It was a single source solution as opposed to NetSuite which was not. NetSuite would have been way more expensive when you factored everything in.
