PatientNow is great value and easy to use

Commentaires : We've been using PatientNow since 2018 and they continue to strive to improve the product. They listen to their customers and they work with you to resolve issues. Customer Support is usually very responsive.

Avantages :

SecurePayNow, texting and emailing from the system are some of my favorite features. The ability to create templates is also very important to us as a practice. Not having to go back to support for everything.

Inconvénients :

Would like to be able to customize the clinical information more. Also, more area for clinical notes vs scheduling notes.

Commentaires : Customers services is top notch! They are responsive and quite helpful. If it wasn't for their excellent customer service, we probably would have been very unhappy.

Avantages :

We switched to this software for the electronic record capacity. It isn't as user friendly as presented. We hoped to use voice dictation but this hasn't worked out.

Inconvénients :

The photography software needs to be improved and updated so we can create side by side comparisons and them save them or share them easily. This seems like an easy update.

No support, refusing to stop billing

Commentaires : Really disappointed with the experience. Would advise anyone to stay far away from this company based on business practices.

Avantages :

Basic product features are bare bones, but sufficient

Inconvénients :

They acquired RXPhoto, raised the price aggressively, then would not stop billing our credit card after cancelling. Attempts to contact customer success team go unanswered. Their billing team keeps directing me to the customer success team. Not a good situation.

Commentaires : Pretty good! Love all the functionality and treatment pathways! Setup is a bit difficult if you opt to do it yoursef (I'd recommend having PatientNow do the setup for you instead). Can be a little buggy sometimes but tech support is very responsive and helpful, as is their dev team.

Avantages :

PatientNow makes it easy to automate and streamline workflows and patient care. Cuts down on the time all processes take allowing more time for other tasks.

Inconvénients :

The system seems to be a bit buggy here and there.

Commentaires : Envision has been excellent to work with and the customer service is superb. As a start-up company it was pretty simple to get everything set up and going.

Avantages :

It has bundled most everything needed into one package and is pretty user-friendly.

Inconvénients :

The charting aspect still isn't perfect but much better. Also the client images would be nice if you could take the picture in the software that had a grid to help keep pictures consistent.

Commentaires : I have mixed feelings. Some days I'm glad i got it and most I am frustrated. I went from paper and many times would like to go back.

Avantages :

Many different features. I'm sure when I get the hang of it all it will be worth it but still very confusing at times.

Inconvénients :

Difficult getting started. Still in the beginning process with pathways almost 6 months later. Only help when I ask for it never above and beyond what I need. Very hard to get meetings with my "person" although he is very nice. About 75% of my patients do not like the portal and the online booking is confusing for them I now am doing a lot more scheduling myself taking time away from the practice.

Integration process was a lot less painful than expected. The financial reports and more accessibility to that is a great feature to have. Reaching out to support staff is quick and everyone we've interacted with has been so helpful and kind.

Commentaires : Although there were some shortfalls in the expected offerings of the program, the support team really did their best to assist us whenever we called in.

Avantages :

We appreciate that the EMR, patient records, and messaging being in the same program.

Inconvénients :

We wish the marketing worked for us, but it was lacking in the amount of messages that we were permitted to send out. That would've been fine however sales communicated something different in the initial calls.

PatientNOW Cloud

Commentaires : I have been a user of PatientNOW for 7 plus years now. We have always received wonderful support from the trainers, managers and support team. However, I wanted to share the most current experience that sparked this review. A couple of weeks ago I contacted sales to hear about moving our current server based PatientNOW over to PatientNOW cloud. As our server is older and will no longer be supported by Microsoft in January of 2020. I spoke [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who was very knowledgeable and was able to get all my questions answered and the information sent over to me quickly. I wasn't quite ready to switch over yet until... a few days later when our 2008 windows server had a failed hard drive. Not wanting to replace the hard ware in the server since I knew we were going to do upgrade soon. I called [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] back on a Friday in the mid-morning. Telling him my situation and asking how soon can we make this switch to the cloud as I was fearful the other two hard drives were about to go as well. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] started the process. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] called me later that afternoon telling me the process and his team went to work. Now I sit here, the following Friday completely switched over to the cloud based PatientNOW and Zinsser Plastic Surgery had NO downtime. The switch was flawless thanks to the team at PatientNOW.

Avantages :

The lay out. Once you understand the basic workings of the software is very easy to get around.

Inconvénients :

I have a hard time creating the templates, however they trainers are always willing to help.

Commentaires : PatientNow allowed us to streamline our business. It was difficult to transition over to paperless, but the Patientnow system was pretty intuitive and our staff adjusted. It was an excellent choice for our business and I'm grateful we discovered it when be began our paperless transition back in 2011.

Avantages :

We are a plastic surgery practice and we purchased this software because it allowed us to use it for both our insurance billing as well as cosmetic billing. We sell skin care products as part of our business and this software allowed us to use a bar code scanner, inventory the products and create cosmetic invoices. A lot of medical software is not geared towards plastic surgery practices which require both insurance and cosmetic billing. The others that we researched, were much more complicated, much more expensive and had many components that we didn't need. We didn't want to pay for features we wouldn't end up using. We were fortunate to purchase PatientNow when it was first coming out and got a fantastic introductory offer.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally, I come across a report or feature that is missing, what I feel like, are obvious options. The help department usually is responsive to our feedback.

I can not fathom with all the features that are built into the software that a feature doesn't exist where if someone schedules an online appointment with me that I can't receive an immediate email notification. Case and point (example): If I leave work on Friday at 5pm and have no one scheduled for Saturday, but someone logs in Friday night at 5:01 to make an appointment for Saturday morning - I won't know about that appointment unless I sign in and physically look Friday night before bed or wake up very early Saturday to "check" and see if anyone made an appointment. I think its criminal this isn't a feature. I also am very very very (VERY) disappointed in the speed. I was told and I feel VERY MISLEAD about the speed of the product. Every-time I talk to anyone they say "oh check your wifi connection," or "move it closer to the wifi, it must be the location." No in fact this isn't the case and you guys KNOW IT. I know you are undergoing certain upgrades to improve the product, however you have lied to your consumers and I'm furious over it. I am seriously re-evaluating dumping your services immediately following the end of my application.

Perfect EMR

Commentaires : Best for what we need. I've used many EMR's. This one does everything from scheduling, charting, prescribing, and also accepts payments, and manages inventory. We wanted one system that would do all of these things. PatientNow does all of this, and so much more.

Avantages :

Easy to use and responsive support. PatientNow does everything we need - scheduling, charting, documentation, payments, billing, text/email reminders, and able to text, email, and fax from within EMR, inventory, ordering, and practice analytics to evaluate and track anything. I love ability to E-prescribe with integrated PDMP, and able to print Rx when needed. Able to customize and add my own documentation templates - makes everything easy.

Inconvénients :

Spell check is not automatic in documentation - you have to remember to run spell check if you need it.

Commentaires : I spent a fortune purchasing this software and basically only use it as a scheduler. There are parts of the software that are poorly thought out and the company has never addressed these issues. And after purchasing the full product they are now migrating to a cloud-based platform and have no regard for the fact that I purchased their software outright, and have paid for support monthly for years.

Avantages :

It’s programmability and it’s full feature set.

Inconvénients :

Lack of true support to ever get it properly Implemented

Commentaires : Overall we are very pleased with Patient Now and have been using it for several years now. The tech support is very helpful.

Avantages :

The dashboard is very user friendly and our staff is able to learn the processes quickly. There are a lot of tutorials and webinars available.

Inconvénients :

There are some limitations to customization, and some steps that could be a little more efficient. The payment function requires you to use their merchant services.

Best of the worst?

Commentaires : A bit Soso. It’s doing what we needed to do, but the promised constant contact integration that was supposed to happen in March 2019 never happened. The marketing portal is pretty worthless. The program is not a real cloud-based program which is irksome considering I have apple computers at home and had to buy a PC just to look on patient now. The software has glitches and patients do not like the portal either. More often than not they have difficulty accessing it and filling it out. Sometimes they get to the end of all the questions and the submit button does not work. If I start a note on a patient and then do a procedure, often that note disappears and I have to start over.

Avantages :

I like that customer service is very good, the trainers are excellent and the ease of creating notes and modifying templates is simple.

Inconvénients :

It is not possible to flip between windows. So if you are in putting a new product and forgot to put in the manufacturer, you have to switch out of one window, lose all of your information put in manufacturer and then go back. Sometimes this happens three or four times because there is a sequence of putting in things that is not intuitive and the software does not automatically create the flow for.

New Cloud Based Software Glitchy

Avantages :

Cloud based software is definitely the way to go and it has a lot of functionality. Probably too much for most oractices

Inconvénients :

Missing records. Slow upload speeds for pictures. Bloated software. Used to be better before. I wouldn’t recommend this unfortunately not something better to choose from. Overpriced

Considering EMR system

Commentaires : It been a good experience they do provide a lot of webinars and help if you ask for it. It has been easy to work with PatientNow and there are helpful when you do reach out.

Avantages :

What I like about PatientNow is that it's an easy to use software and great features that can opt in for. Also, there is a new feature that I just recently tried was the CareCredit link directly in our software easy to use and it was quick and fast transactions VS logging into our CareCredit portal.

Inconvénients :

I feel at times that PatientNow can operate slow, we recently upgraded to the Icloud version to use some of their newer features that it provides. And in hopes that the software will be faster.

Good Program

Avantages :

Easy to use and staff is very helpful

Inconvénients :

We have made several suggestions to update some features, but none of them are ever considered. One especially request is being able to select what quotes to email or print. When there is multiple quotes (we cannot just select the ones we want printed.) We have to individually print or print all. In some cases these patients have had several quotes through out the years

Commentaires : Our staff is very happy with Patientnow. We have used it for several years now, and are still discovering ways to streamline our practice. Technical support staff from PatientNow are very nice and helpful, sometimes it is hard to get a hold of them, but they do respond back in a timely matter.

Avantages :

Patient now has lots of features, automated emails, inventory system and reporting that helps our practice run smoothly. We have multiple providers and we use Patientnow throughout the day. The dashboard is very user friendly, and it is easy to teach to our staff.

Inconvénients :

There are some limitations, and many add on packages that are not included. For the yearly price, it would be nice if all add ons were included.

Probably the best EMR, wish there were better

Commentaires : PatientNow is great and allows us to manage our practice effectively. There are definitely things that we would change about it especially from a reporting and scheduling standpoint.

Avantages :

PatientNow is a simple software that helps us get through our day to day with minimal issues. It has worked for us for a few years and is easy to learn.

Inconvénients :

Invoicing is very difficult and easy to mess up. There are flaws in the reporting methods and I wish there were more effective ways to pull certain data. Not all data is accessible from reports. Customer service is responsive but they are not attentive to serious issues about financial and data accessibility. They just add our concerns to a list and if enough people complain about it, they finally change it. They make it extremely easy to double book patients.

Customer service fails

Commentaires : High turn-over of staff, I can't get the same staff trainer/account manager twice. Customer service is horrible, quite honestly, I don't have anything nice to say about Patient Now. Do you recommend any good EMR systems for us? We are in the market.

Avantages :

Easy to use, most of the time. Not much else to say here.

Inconvénients :

When a problem does arise, I inevitably know that I have to call Patient Now support to talk to someone on the phone who WON'T take ownership of the problem, absolutely WON'T have the answer you need, and will likely let the ball drop on the problem so that you have to call back in days later angry and irritated.
