About the second... I had similar feeling until I learned the product completely. After that I always had something to report, i.e. virtual queue of bugs in my head. And I knew places, the most buggy places where I always could find something new

Each time I see "competitive programming is bad for you" I want to punch the author over TCP/IP. It's like arguing that going to gym is bad. Sure, if that's the only thing you do in your life, it might not be the wisest choice. But... well, you get the idea.
