Additionally, it is a very easy to use product and flexible for an information technology person to customize. It is an extremely easy product for non-technical staff to use with the proper training. Our staff leverages this product daily to manage our resident website and communicate to our 974 neighborhood homes. > > **Inconvénients**: HOA Sites has tons of functionality. As an information technologist, I found it very easy to work with and customize. The downside of HOA Sites is it is a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None". What I mean by that is it provides the basic functionality of a given feature. For example, it does a great "basic" job at event registration, but does not handle any advanced features (e.g. Barcode check-in of tickets, Not able to select quantity of tickets for purchase other than setting up specific Registration Types, etc.). > > Our overall experience with HOA Sites has been extremely statisfied. We have implemented a resident website that exceeds all the expectations of our board of directors and most importantly our residents\! A basic understanding of how HTML thinks can be helpful. But you don’t need to write code. Management of our site is not burdensome. > > **Inconvénients**: The downside of the templates is that there’s less flexibility. The only real headache I’ve found is that it is difficult to control placement of graphic elements, and the options for text appearance are sparse. At this point, years after we set up the site, the design is looking very dated. Wish I could wave a magic wand to spruce it up\! > > Good\! The initial setup wasn’t too overwhelming, and ongoing maintenance is fine. That said, we use only a few of the functionalities, primarily because of the structure of our organization. Unlike most HOAs, our membership is voluntary, and billing is managed outside the site. We considered consolidating membership management onto the site, but the transition was too difficult.
