For finance teams—especially in mid‑sized to large organizations—it significantly improves both the speed and quality of planning, budgeting, and reporting. > > **Inconvénients**: Getting Prophix fully configured—models, data structures, workflows—takes substantial time and effort. > > We initially implemented Prophix Prime over 12 years ago with more than 100 user licenses. Although the platform was in place, standard users did not fully utilize the capabilities of Prophix Prime at that time. Over the years, however, we gradually transitioned all major financial processes—including financial reporting, cash flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning—into Prophix. We also redesigned our reports and templates to meet evolving business needs. These financial reports were primarily used by the Finance team. For Departmental and Cost Centre reporting, we had developed a semi‑automated process: reports were generated from Prophix, processed through a VBA macro to produce complete reporting packages (Actual vs. Budget vs. Variance), then batch‑converted into 120–130 PDF files with appropriate naming conventions. These packages were subsequently uploaded to SharePoint for viewing by departmental managers and directors. While effective, this was resource‑intensive and required several manual steps. In mid‑2025, we successfully migrated to Prophix One Cloud, marking a significant improvement in functionality, efficiency, and user adoption. Through the cloud platform, we implemented fully automated Departmental Cost Reports, Salary Variance Analysis with Headcount, Sick Time reporting, Including Dashboard, and end‑to‑end Budget Workflow Processes. With this upgrade, we were able to fully leverage our 100‑user license without the need to locally install or maintain Prophix Prime. Today, all departmental managers, directors, and VPs access their Departmental Cost Reports directly through the cloud‑based browser interface. Budget owners use workflow‑enabled templates to review, update, and submit their budget changes as part of a structured Manager Task workflow. This transformation has greatly improved efficiency, accuracy, and user engagement.
