To my knowledge, it has no simulation functions. > > This kind of CAD is used for making the electric diagrams in LARGE projects and you usually only make a lot of CADS at the beginning and end of the project . Since my company can only make one of this large-year-long projects at a time we only used it one or two months in the whole year. They have a good library of how to videos, to get you started. Customer service was able to help fix issues within 24hrs. Being able to use Visio to export PDF and CAD files from my drawings saved time and effort. > > **Inconvénients**: It's a set of scripts that are embedded in your Visio document. So you have to deal with any Visio bugs plus any Electra bugs. > > Overall we are happy with the product. The Visio interface has made it easier for staff to use the product, without having to learn a hole new user interface. Maybe have different symbol packages for different applications? Terminal blocks are a little cumbersome to use at first, but can be managed. > > Much easier than hand drawing simple schematics and panel layouts. It is great for in-house panel builds and equipment modifications.
