It gives you the ability to define workflows by division and type of work. Not only does the system prompt the user to complete an item, but it literally takes you to the place in the system where you need to perform the task. For example, if you need to upload a Work Authorization, it will pull of the document for the customer to sign, or if you need to upload some photos, it will take you to the appropriate album where the photos should be saved. > > **Inconvénients**: The user interface is out-dated and you cannot save custom views or filters on any of the grids within the program. > > So far the team at Next Gear Solutions has been very helpful. Once your team learns it, it's an effective tool. > > **Inconvénients**: My biggest concern is data accessibility. Charging customers $450–$1,200 for a master CSV export creates a significant barrier to backing up or moving your own data. Your company's data is one of its most valuable assets, and I believe obtaining a complete backup shouldn't come with that kind of cost. > > We've used DASH for several years and built our business around it. Overall, it's good software. It gets the job done, and I don't have enough experience with competing platforms to compare it fairly. The reason for this review is to warn others about data ownership. I requested a master CSV export so I could create an offline backup of my own company's data. I wasn't leaving DASH or switching platforms - I simply wanted a backup. I was initially quoted $1,200. After explaining I wasn't leaving, the quote changed to $450. Either way, I was shocked that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars just to obtain a backup of my own business data. Before choosing DASH, ask about their data export policy.
