Avantages :

A mon niveau j'ai apprécié la simplicité d'usage. Les fonctionnalités poussées pour affiner les réglages.

Inconvénients :

L'interfaçage avec un siem implique de créer ses propres API. Pas d'api permettant de se connecter facilement au Siem du marché.

Good EPP product although a little heavy and convoluted

Commentaires : Overall the experience was good, it was a good product that did what we needed. There are lighter, better and cleaner products on the market along with much better support and that's why we moved away from Sophos

Avantages :

We started off within the Sophos ecosystem with their XG(S) range of appliances and their spam product, we liked how it all talked to one another using the Central Heartbeat.

Inconvénients :

Slow web dashboard for centrally managing anything and Intercept X would spawn 4-5 difference processes and could be heavy on a system.

Sophos Intercept X just works

Commentaires : So far we have been very pleased with the Intercept X endpoint protection product and intend to keep using it as it is easy to deploy and manage using the online portal.

Avantages :

One of the things I like most about the Sophos product is that it is easy to deploy and easy to use. I also like that the endpoint agent doesn't use a ton of computer resources like some of the competitors products that I have used in the past. I also enjoy the comfort in knowing that they continually are monitoring for the latest threats and release those updates into their product streams in a timely fashion, I also think that the way the product works in response to threats is superior to other products and have not experienced any catastrophic issues since we have been using their product.

Inconvénients :

So far the only issues I have experienced is when installing software sometimes you will need to get the tamper protection code from the console in order to disable the desktop agent while you install software which is an extra step but also one that protects from users being able to disable it.

Commentaires : Intercept X is great, it saved our bacon when we were hit with the kaseya ransomware even though it is on the more expensive side of things

Avantages :

Easy set up and deployment with an RMM Threat response shows the attack vectors stops ransomware in its tracks

Inconvénients :

Price was much higher than others that provide most of the same features

Commentaires : Overal Sophos XDR solution have helped us to keep safe network.

Avantages :

Threat hunting and analytic dashboard gives insights of the threats observed in the company network and the actions performed to stop the same.

Inconvénients :

Does not support some older version of OS which needs to be supported and product EOL should be atleast 10 yrs

An all in one solution for your security needs, but be aware!

Commentaires : I must say there are better competitors on the market regarding Security for Endpoints. For example, Microsoft has improved its Defender for Endpoint very well, but price-quality Sophos for businesses is a very good overall solution and does what it must do out of the box already. But you have to be aware that you do need to configure to hit some sweet spots. Such as how aggressively it needs to scan, what to block, and what not to block. On the other side if you have an agreement with an MSP you can get pretty good discounts and the kickback fee of Sophos is much better the margins you are allowed to get with Sophos are much more than Microsoft's selling margins.

Avantages :

- Simple regarding implementation of the agents - It does what it must do out of the box - Pricing when you are purchasing more and have a discount regulation

Inconvénients :

- Performance, it does eat a lot of resources even when it is optimized - A lot of settings in many different spaces make it difficult to set something up - Aggressiveness and a bit too many false positives in my opinion

Easy to implement and manage. Great for SMB

Commentaires : As a SMB with a small IT team supporting a midsize organization. We are partial to products that are quick to deploy and requires little day to day maintenance. However we also take security seriously and required a product we could trust to do so. We selected the Sophos cloud product from the Sophos Endpoint Security. It had a quick learning curve and deployment time was minimal. We've also had consistently positive feedback from our users. The alerts are meaningful and we've been able to apply policy based rules on all our users, having a complete adoption. This is a great product for SMB, however larger organisations may require more customization and should be sure to test this product proper prior to selection to see if it suits their specific needs.

Avantages :

Great cloud based product, with an easy and intuitive management interface. Was very fast to deploy the clients and setup policies. Integrates with other Sophos products in the management interface, making it easy to manage all your security solutions one place. Great price point compared to features and functionality. Low resource footprint on most workstations.

Inconvénients :

Sophos isn't consistent with which identity solution they support. Some requiring Azure AD and others on-premise AD. To solve this, you need to split the Sophos products over two web management interfaces, which isn't smart or intuitive. Sophos support can sometimes be a bit slow getting back to you, but seems to be improving. Features are super easy to implement, but it sometimes comes at the cost of transparency.

End Point for Small Business

Avantages :

With cyber threats growing every day we are really grateful for Sophos. As the lone ranger for IT I've been able to use Sophos to make sure that our computers meet our requirements. We've stopped many viruses in their tracks across all our company-owned computers.

Inconvénients :

The customer service leaves much more to be desired. The sales process for Sophos is also a bit slow and outdated for a software subscription company.

Commentaires : It has been one of our best purchase in our overall security purchase.

Avantages :

Everything you need in an endpoint protect product is here. Cloud console, great ransomeware protection, integration with other Sophos products. API enabled for other integration.

Inconvénients :

There are really no cons when compare to competitors, or course each product will have some feature better than each other but when taking a comprehensive look at endpoint protection Sophos is a well ended product with a competitive price.

Commentaires : Sophos endpoint protection is a pretty robust solution that will give you peace of mind when those Zero days Exploits breaks if you have Intercept X.

Avantages :

Antivirus, Periferal control, Web control, Data loss prevention, and ransomware protection in one single Product, great integration with sophos firewall if you have one. Great Server Lockdown feature for Windows and Linux Servers, even if they are On Premises or Cloud based on AWS or Azure.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes automated installations end up inn a partial install resulting in having to renistall the client. if you have tamper protection enabled for you clients this will result in manual labor for your team

Excellent Endpoint Protection with Cloud Management

Commentaires : Sophos Endpoint protection is fairly priced and adds piece of mind to device security, but requires the addition of remote access to complete the product.

Avantages :

Sophos Endpoint Protection is managed via Sophos Central, the cloud management portal for nearly all Sophos Products. It allows rapid deployment of Sophos Endpoint Software to MacOS and Windows, and reports and allows policies and users to be centrally managed. It's very good at catching nearly all issues.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally its not so good and some issues still require physical access to the device to remove the issue.

High End Protection

Great Option for Regulated Businesses

Avantages :

Sophos allows me as an IT Administrator to get good reports and monitor my network efficiently. I am able to customize certain program restrictions, etc. right from the management console and have the updated paramaters applied to every computer, including laptops not currently on the network.

Inconvénients :

The software is more expensive compared to other options, but I do enjoy that I can pay monthly rather than prepaying for 1+ years of use.

Too overly protective

Avantages :

It's great for users or companies that need extreme protection. It's strong and hard to disable.

Inconvénients :

Extremely hard to disable while trying to perform 3rd party support on software. Personal experience, there is no way to disable a tamper protection password without having to get into Safe mode and uninstalling.

Sophos Endpoint Protection

Commentaires : Best endpoint protection!!

Avantages :

Very powerful software and very light weight when it comes to install. Its very easy to setup and implement on multiple machines for remote monitoring.

Inconvénients :

There isn't a way to customize the search feature if i only want scan part of my drive.

Easy, light weight, watch the updates.

Commentaires : Very happy, it kept everything running well for over 3 years now.

Avantages :

This caused little to no interference or slowdowns to the system. No macbook protected by it ever developed an infection.

Inconvénients :

It was not usually the scanner that hogged resourced, but its updater. The SophosUpdater consumed the majority of energy, disc read/writes, and bandwidth for every machine. The only incident I had with it slowing a computer down was when we had to backup and move off of a device. Then it insisted on pre-scanning everything that was "tar-balled" dragging a 45 minute operation out to 4 hours and refused to halt or quit that scan.

Solid Security

Commentaires : I have it installed on my home computer, and at my previous workplace we used it.

Avantages :

It's saved me several times from malware.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it can successfully quarantine malware, but can't delete it, so you have to find a manual solution.
