This eliminates much overhead and enables recruiting translators pretty much all over the world where an internet connection can be established. All translation assets and instructions can be shared online without the need to email or download files, TMs, glossaries, knowledge bases... It does address most benefits listed on our requirement list. > > **Inconvénients**: Pricey\! Expect you to pay for a full year in advance or charge a ridiculous markup (20+% VAR) for quarterly payments\! The solution can be semi-customized but some functions are not configurable requiring relying on their internal technical staff which can also be very pricey. Legacy TMs although can be imported will not generate similar fuzzy matches due to limited TM configuration abilities and internal tag differences making it very hard to transition legacy TMs for ongoing updates. The so-called "beautiful collaborative tool" is, from our standpoint, nothing short of a spectacular disaster. Let's start with the interface: it’s a blast from the past—and not in a good way. This tool moves at a glacial pace, and the TM/TB search pane is an exercise in optical strain, frequently slicing off longer matches as if they’re going out of style. The editor is a joke, refusing to let you view all segments at once. If you enjoy watching paint dry, you'll love the search function here—it's about as quick. Don't even get me started on the QA process. Prepare to run your checks thrice over, only for Wordbee to slap you with a big "incomplete, cannot deliver job"\! Mercifully, there are two ways to export XLIFFs—but that's where the blessings end. Some keyboard shortcuts for diacritics end up triggering random functions instead, adding to the "fun"\! From a linguistic perspective, Wordbee has an appetite for punctuation, gobbling it up into its tags beyond your reach, which is utterly maddening for any and all projects. The tool seems to be designed with a mythical linguist in mind—certainly none that I've ever met—and I'm baffled that the authors actually managed to sell it to anyone. > > **Inconvénients**: There’s a single redeeming feature: automated invoice generation. > > Wordbee feels more like a torturous trial than a tool.
