So I had them develop it for me. (I never used their visual extractor to build scrapers, so I have no experience with that.) The development of the scrapers was a great first experience. They took my requirements and built a custom scraper, tested it and deployed it for me. Charged a reasonable flat fee. I can't remember how long it took...definitely less than 2 weeks. Maybe one week? A few weeks later I realized that my parameters had some efficiency issues and needed to change the crawler configurations. I had several iterations and code revisions through their support portal...some of my changes could have been interpreted as increased scope, but they never charged me anything additional beyond the initial development fee. To me, they were experts at coding the scrapers, they looked at my target websites and reviewed my crawler description and built what I needed. Even caught some things I missed. Their support response is usually pretty quick 1-2 days is normal...and I had a lot of support requests at first. One of my requests went a week without response so I escalated it in their portal and they got back to me next day. It wasn't that urgent and I guess they were just busy? > > **Inconvénients**: They have some help documentation complete with video demonstrations. But even so, it doesn't seem particularly robust. And leaves a lot of questions open about the visual extractor and even the export service. I think most people end up contacting their support. Also, you can tell they are constantly making changes. You can now set your account to a timezone, which gets your logs and data synchronized...but their scheduler still doesn't sync the days of the week right. I would have crawlers running on Saturday that were only supposed to run on weekends. > > I've used Diggernaut for almost 4 months now on their 'Medium' subscription. I use it to scrape public data off of some public websites as soon as it becomes available. I'm interested in getting it immediately and aggregating it. I also used Diggernaut's 'Custom Scraper' service to get started. So at this point I've processed nearly 800,000 page requests and extracted now over 500,000 records. I'm beyond satisfied with the performance. I do have integration with 2captcha and haven't had any issues. You just sign up with 2Captcha, load a balance, and use your API key in your crawler. It's so seamless I forgot to reload my 2Captcha account one month. You can download the data manually in like six different formats...but that would be too much for most people to manage. I use their export service (webhook) and have a google cloud function to throw it all to a cloud database. Trying about 10 times, i have understood that my turns are filed ))) and i just decided to ask the support )) And i must say it is the best of the best support what i ever seen. How you can understand, i asked million stupid questions (sure stupid ))) for any normal programmer, but not for a normal human ))) and the guys were extremely patient and willing to help. They have tought me how to change the codes, have explaned my mistakes, even remade the config when i crashed it ocasionally (sure ))))i have pushed something and all is disappeared ))) I'm very grateful to guys, especially to rep they were nursing with me like with a baby )) Finally i have learned brilliantly how to use this software - i think i will use it, indeed\! Very very very professional and friendly support who really want to help to their clients to learn new feaches.
