For those who do not know, Lexis is a leading provider of legal research tools for lawyers (case law, pleadings, etc.). This application lets you do a few things that significantly cut costs for attorneys and their staff. Most notably, it will create the much-dreaded table of authorities that you need to include in your federal (and some state) briefs. In addition, it lets you integrate your legal research needs right into your draft document, which was helpful (but not critical). > > **Inconvénients**: Lexis is expensive and the Office add-on alone will likely not justify the cost for the vast majority of lawyers.
