> **Avantages**: StarRez arranges tons of information into an easy to digest format, and manages it excellently. The integration within the platform (between housing applications and room placements), as well as with the online features, is simple and effective. StarRez offers multiple ways to achieve the same thing, so it's easy to find what clicks for you. The ability to run reports make the management of batch data simple and painless. It's incredibly valuable to have the historical information available, and to be able to streamline work across multiple departments. There is also excellent support available; they are very responsive and helpful.

> **Inconvénients**: The PC application is not being actively developed as they shift towards a cloud based software. The cloud software can be a bit slow and is dependent on an internet connection, so I prefer the speed of the downloaded software.
> 
> We use StarRez to manage housing on a campus with about 450 live-on students. It manages our database, conduct, housing assignments, and contact information. StarRez helps us bridge the gap between RAs, the Residence Life Office, and other departments. There are a wealth of options that help us generate occupancy reports, as well as working with the Business Office to collaborate on charges.

> **Avantages**: We love the Star Rez includes a lot of "secondary" features that previous housing management systems do not include such as equipment rentals, short-term conference management, and expansive demographics. I also love that the system/app is cloud-based and can be used on-the-go without needing to be on our University's secure server.
> 
> **Inconvénients**: There are lots of great features but the learning curve for Star Rez is steeper than expected. Their Star Care system is helpful but some features on the web-version (for staff) isn't quite as intuitive and easy to navigate as I would like. Besides that, it is a solid system.
> 
> A great option for universities looking for a comprehensive housing management system.
