Product Tracking as a foundation for Stewardship

Commentaires : Positive, supportive, flexible and easy to use.

Avantages :

Allows tracking of product from production facility to end-user that supports our inventory management, but also in the foundation of one of our critical stewardship activities. Our certified distributors have access to their own inventory and sales information with a firewall across users, while overviews across distributors is critical for the administrator.

Inconvénients :

No real issues with use. Customized report generation for individual users in isolation from overall administrative views would be a desired feature.

Commentaires : Overall we like Sortly. There are some features we would like added but Sortly is always offering new capabilities.

Avantages :

It has helped us cut down costs astronomically. We can move our stock between shops and cut down on ordering. We have been able to log loss of product, leave notes to our managers about stock, organize our vendors. It’s been great.

Inconvénients :

There isn’t a way to see what your inventory was on a certain date. For example we do a COGS adjustment at the end of each month to see how much inventory we’re sitting on. If I don’t pull the report on that date I can’t go back and look at my inventory in that point of time retrospectively. I also wish it was clear that there was support to help set it up. I did it all manually and it was tough.

Commentaires : Sortly has helped my company grow and manage our inventory much better than when we first started. We have had Sortly for a long time, but only recently started using it to its full extent. I use Sortly to create QR codes for each individual product and its variation and attach them to magnets on our shelves where products are stored. This makes it very easy for my team to scan products in and out of inventory. I also use Sortly when ordering products from vendors by searching for low or out-of-stock tags. This has made our inventory and product ordering process more streamline. I do wish that there were more of the features I outlined previously, such as integrations and bulk editing.

Avantages :

I like how user-friendly the mobile app is for my employees when scanning in and out products. I also like how easy it is to create QR codes for multiple products, as well as the current bulk actions like adding tags, prices, etc. I also like the ability to add different users on one account so that I may have different devices set to scan products in my facility.

Inconvénients :

I do not like that there is no automatic integration feature to upload my inventory to different Sales Channels like Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, and Etsy. Manually importing and exporting data becomes tedious and time-consuming. I also do not like that I cannot track which of my employees are scanning products. I would prefer if Sortly would track and report the times and devices from which products are scanned, so that if something is incorrect I can address it directly. I think the navigation between product folders and variations could be more streamline with less clicks when navigating on a desk top. I also would like for there to be more bulk editing actions, like bulk editing SKUs and Manufacturer Part Numbers instead of individually clicking and editing each variation. That is insanely time consuming when our catalog is extensive.

Commentaires : When introduced to Sortly I was not sure how this would work with all of the different medications and all of the supplies that we have. Once I got in there and logged all of our inventory it was so easy! The editing, the notifications, just all around flawless!

Avantages :

It is perfect with keeping track of the hundreds of meds and supplies that we log!! The notifications are also very helpful! I have a lot going on and the notifications I get when the stock hits the minimum level save me!

Inconvénients :

I have had absolutely no issues with Sortly!

Excellent Product for Small Companies

Avantages :

We use Sortly for our small construction business and we're able to get both our admin and build staff to use the system with ease. It's visually easy to understand which is imperative for staff members that need quick answers for where they can find their project material for construction. There are custom fields that allow us to build information our around our company needs instead of trying to fit into a premade product.

Inconvénients :

My only negative feedback about Sortly is the limited pricing options. They seem to have too large of a jump in options. We have a larger inventory but we do not need any additional features that are available in the next step up for cost. We are limited to 2,000 entries and we need, approximately 500-1,000 more. The next step up provides 8,000 more entries (10,000 total) but it is 300% more expensive per year. We cannot justify the cost as a small company but we would gladly pay 50% more just to add another 500-1,000 entries.

A good way to run your small business

Avantages :

The ability to customize the set up and tailor it to your needs. By adding folders and items in whichever manner you choose you are able to get a really customizable use.

Inconvénients :

Items not syncing together when changes are made. New items are created which can mess up inventory numbers and you then have to go through and merge or add inventory together manually.

Commentaires : Overall, Sortly has completely changed and improved how I run my warehouse. Our inventory management has taken a 180 degree turn for the best. We are still working on adding everything into Sortly, which we are close, but it has made our company more successful. We used to say that the warehouse was just wasting company money, but we've finally reached the point where the warehouse is MAKING the company money, all thanks to Sortly.

Avantages :

It has made our inventory control so much easier, and we are having far less issues such as over assigning our products to clients versus how much we actually have available.

Inconvénients :

The main things I don't like about Sortly are the limits of Sub-Folders and the limits of characters you are allowed to have in the text boxes.

SORTLY IS AMAZING

Avantages :

I really enjoy how easy the app is to use because I do not have to spend much time training other staff members to use it. The Inventory Management and Control aspects of sortly are really what makes the app so worth using though.

Inconvénients :

I do not like the group items feature that has been included. My items used to stay grouped together, and now I have to click the button every time to get them to group back together.

Quick, easy, inventory management

Commentaires : It has helped us a lot. We use to have order chaos and a lot of time on the floor. Now we are able to perform ordering from a desk and quickly check stock.

Avantages :

Ease of use and organization. There are some items I would like to see added for ease of use.

Inconvénients :

Somethings are redundant. Some things are missing. Somethings, I have to make work for us. I would like to be able to export transaction data easier for trends and rates of decline, but I am a base plan user. I would like to be able to bulk update without creating a duplicate item. Makes it hard to edit one at a time and load or have to delete old duplicates when bulk importing updated info. Or, bulk apply alerts without them all needing the same min level.

Quick to learn and easy to use

Commentaires : Sortly was easy to learn. It took me just moments to understand how to add and minus product with my phone. It’s simple and efficient.

Avantages :

I like that it’s an easy to use interface.

Inconvénients :

I wish it would connect to Shopify. Other than that there’s nothing to dislike.

Great for Small Companies

Commentaires : My team and I love sortly because of how easy and quick it is to use on our Ipads/Iphones. For a small company, you should not even consider another option... I did the research so you don't have to.

Avantages :

Cost, Functionality, and Ease of use are the top reasons we selected sortly. It was easy to implement and quick for anyone to learn without much training.

Inconvénients :

I think we were grandfathered into a plan and then had to upgrade to use features I believe were available in the original plan and then taken away and moved into a different plan. Don't quote me on this...... this happened a while ago.

A Great all round inventory management app.

Avantages :

How easy it was to set up and get going, being able to add photos and prices.

Inconvénients :

it's an off the shelf product so wont hit all your buisness needs. quite basic but that is also what is so great about it.

The best low cost inventory management app

Avantages :

First of all, the price is really good for all the benefits you have on the app. It is really simple and easy to use, you can do a lot of things with it and you won't need to take a class to learn how to use it.

Inconvénients :

There are some features that we would like that it is not implement yet. For example, would be really good a button to undo an action that you did for a product.

Helpful but with quirks

Avantages :

I like the ability to scan and easily print QR codes.

Inconvénients :

That I cannot "undo" an action. That it is difficult for me to see Sortly history and to remember what went where and who moved it. I do not like that when moving an item into a folder, that the search cannot be specific- For example if I have the folder of "Jane Doe" in 12 different folders by month, and I want to move an item to "Jane Doe" in "July", I cannot search "Jane Doe July", I have to search "Jane Doe" and scroll through multiple "Jane Doe" entries to find her in "July". I also think the bar code scanner in the app could be improved. When you are scanning within a folder, and at the top there is a note that tells you what folder you are "searching within" I wish there was an easy way to click that and change it to search in another folder, rather than going back and selecting the folder and then going back to the barcode search scanner. Also, when I am scanning and searching within a folder and I "add a quick action" and want to "Choose folder before scanning", when I go to search for the folder in the search bar the search bar page looks strange saying "nothing to see to see here" and the search bar looks different and for a while I didn't realize could still use it

Beyond the Basics

Avantages :

I like how thorough it is without being a full ERP or WMS. The price is right, and the learning curve slopes gently while still having deeper functionality available for those who want it.

Inconvénients :

It's a bit clunky and takes a while to load sometimes, especially when using a mobile device. I would like more features for adjusting all locations of a product, and to customize what happens when I move all quantity of a SKU out of a particular folder and into another.

Commentaires : There are good things and bad things about Sortly. Over all it is easy to use and handy. Would like to know everything the system does so we can use it to it's full capacity.

Avantages :

I liked that is was easily accessible on all plate forms from tablets, phones, and/or your computer.

Inconvénients :

No Drop down boxes. I had to learn the system on my own. We were only shown how to do things by videos.

User-friendly Inventory management

Commentaires : I would highly recommend shortly. It makes inventory so much easier. I also love that. It has a feature where it shows the things that are low in stock all on one screen after I’ve completed inventory so I don’t have to go through and search every item.

Avantages :

I really like that it’s user-friendly. Mobile, items are searchable and easy to notate exactly what is needed.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it glitches and says that my password is incorrect or it’s loading and I have to log completely out and log back in

A Necessary Program for Our Warehouse

Commentaires : Overall the experience with Sortly is great, could be a bit cheaper but what you get for features is well worth it.

Avantages :

I liked the way i can type in any product that i think of and can find it on the app and know directly where it is in the warehouse. Saves a lot of time and money.

The cost is probably my least favorite thing about Sortly.

Commentaires : Overall, we are pretty satisfied with Sortly, with the exception of the cons listed above.

Avantages :

Keeps track of our product inventory so we know where our item is located and how much of the item is in stock & when we need to order more.

Inconvénients :

That you need to manually set the alarm for when the product expires. Also, when performing a search, you need to fill in exactly how it was entered initially otherwise it may not show up.

Avantages :

I like the ease of use. With over 3000 individual items in inventory, Sortly makes keeping track of inventory much easier.

Inconvénients :

I wish that there was a more detailed notes system when changing inventory. For instance, if the purchase date is different than the input date I wish you could change that to reflect when the item was edited, rather than when it was input into the computer. I also wish you could separate the customer the part was sold to as well as an option to attach a PO number. I wish that "-" would not stop the user from finding a selected part. In my experience, vendors have sold me the same part with some part numbers containing dashing and other without. Because of this I have made duplicate items unintentionally, thus creating inventory miscounts. Lastly I wish that there was a way to sort by item part number in the same way you can for part name and date updated.

Sortly is easy to set up and use in a Medical environment.

Commentaires : It has been great and has helped us be able to re-order supplies quickly and find the items we need through the different ordering websites we use. Having our techs be able to check inventory as well while running around if a huge time saver.

Avantages :

How easy it was to scan barcodes and look up items and then modify the items to match our products. Being able to use Tablets and personal devices to install the app to be able to check inventory.

Inconvénients :

We do with there was a better way to add and remove items from the inventory. We are still new to using the program but wish there was a quick way to scan a barcode to have it decrease inventory by one when someone takes an item.

Commentaires : Have enjoyed the time savings this program has provided along with the parts tracker per vehicle/warehouse and the low level alerts.

Avantages :

Once the program is setup and items are loaded the software is amazingly easy to use. Very helpful and the amount of time it saves is amazing.

Inconvénients :

Takes a little to learn how to add and transfer. We have some Apple phones and Samsung phones it operates differently on the phones. It is easier to use on the computer.

Sortly coming in clutch

Commentaires : Overall I am pretty pleased but I do think we will be switching to ply which integrates directly with our CRM software, Housecall Pro

Avantages :

Ease of use for warehouses, easily add pictures and barcodes.

Inconvénients :

The biggest issue I have is not being able to update all items with the same sku or sortly id through all "warehouses" easily. Lets say I have a part our price changed and they changed the barcode on it, I believe I should be able to make a change on one item and it reflect to all of the same items with matching sortly ID's. Since it does not work like that I'm seeing many duplicate items, lets say i change one picture on item x in warehouse a and warehouse b has the same item. If i were to move item x from a to b I would now have a new item in warehouse b instead of just updating the quantity +1 Not setup well for our business, have had to find work arounds to make inventory work for our truck stock.

BEWARE, Annual Subscription Increases by 250%

Commentaires : Overall our experience has been good until the email we received 11 days prior to our subscription renewal. Sortly did not INITIALLY cost us as much as the other inventory solutions on the market so we overlooked a lot of the downfalls and lack of features. However, I wish we knew the rate had the potential to increase to $2,700 a year for a plan with 3,098 units. I would recommend saving yourself the trouble and invest your time and money with a company that will grow with you and not increase your subscription at their own discretion.

Avantages :

Initial annual plan pricing. However, 11 days before our annual renewal we received this message, "Sortly plans are being reconfigured based on your number of entries and usage patterns. On your renewal date, your account will be adjusted to the Sortly Enterprise plan, billed at $2,760 USD per year..." from $1,080 we paid for our first year. We have 3,098 numbers of entries and the plan we have allows for 10,000 numbers of entires. We will not be receiving feature upgrades and after requesting further explanation for the significant rate increase we were told, "We are in the process of reconfiguring our plans." There is no way we could have known we would not qualify for our current plan. If you are a home staging business Stageforce and StrangeDNA have comparable pricing and many more features in Sorty.

Inconvénients :

CAUTION the annual renewal rate is not as advertised!! After one year of use, we received an email stating that our price would increase to $2,750 for the next renewal (we initially paid $1,080 for the first year) for the exact same plan we have now. The "Ultra Plan" with 10,000 units is currently being advertised as $708 per year. Be careful investing your time and money into this software. Once you have configured your business or needs around this company they could increase your subscription by 250% like they have with us.

Sortly works

Commentaires : Overall I am happy using Sortly. There needs to be an easier method to go back to the previous folder without having to go to the top level folder

Avantages :

Adding folders and subfolders and items with in the folders is easy enough. Then we can add relevant information to help us track the data. The search option on folders work great.

Inconvénients :

importing asset from a spreadsheet or csv puts everything in forced folders and its a nightmare to move out and fix.
