With their R\&D money, TargetX is getting left in the dust. 2. Being built on Salesforce it is very easy to extend the capabilities. Release update procedures and documentation have improved a great deal since 3 years ago and quarterly releases are much easier to install. Support is very helpful and I've often received help from support that would have required paid consulting from other vendors. The software we purchased came bundled with Informatica for ETL task, primarily data imports. TargetX provides and maintains the import specs to handle various common imports such as the Common App and SAT scores. Their support implementing those imports has been very good. We recently implemented their tool for creating spec based applications and review processes. We chose to use their consulting services for the implementation and they were extremely organized and efficient in their approach.
