Making the switch only confirmed just how outdated and restrictive Picktime’s system actually is. For context, here are the exact issues (around 70% of the issues I was facing with them) Picktime failed to address, all of which my new provider handles effortlessly: No or limited or unclear Admin Overrides: With Picktime, booking a client on a "day off" required me to manually change my global working hours, book the client, and change them back. My new provider allows seamless admin overrides. Rigid "All-or-Nothing" Payments: Picktime wouldn't let me require upfront payment for some services while allowing post-payment for others. My new system offers total payment flexibility per service. Paywalled Basic Features: Despite paying for two Pro accounts, Picktime tried to force me to upgrade again just to use basic discount codes. Broken Navigation Links: When sharing a link to a specific service on Picktime, the "Home" icon redirected right back to that same service instead of the main menu—giving clients the false impression I only offered one service. No Service Duplication: Picktime forces you to manually recreate similar services from scratch. My new provider lets me duplicate and edit services in seconds. Forced Branding on Paid Tiers: Despite being a paying Pro subscriber, Picktime refused to let me remove their logo. Outdated File Restrictions: Picktime bizarrely only accepts JPEG files, making modern, high-quality branding a headache. Confusing Calendar Invites: Picktime's Google Meet integration sent my internal "padding/buffer" time to the client's calendar, causing constant confusion about appointment lengths. The Verdict: If you are a sole trader or a business looking for a platform that actually values your time and client experience, look elsewhere. Picktime’s lack of basic features and refusal to listen to paying customers forced me to leave—and seeing how effortlessly a truly customer-focused provider handles these exact needs, I only wish I had made the switch sooner. They get 2 rather than 1 star because I think they genuinely want to help - but simply can't due to lack of knowledge or technical ability.
