> **Avantages**: It performs reliably and fulfills its intended purpose effectively. It is widely regarded as a standard tool in the OPC UA ecosystem, recommended for both debugging and development tasks. While the user interface is somewhat minimalistic and may lack certain advanced configuration options, its stability and accurate operation make it preferable to more polished tools that may conceal underlying issues.

> **Inconvénients**: Some settings are placed in locations that are not particularly intuitive, and the real-time data section lacks the ability to add or remove columns, which would be useful for displaying only the relevant information.
The limitation of the application stopping after 4 hours can be inconvenient, especially for longer debugging sessions. However, considering that it’s free and works very well, this limitation is understandable and not a major issue.

From the very beginning, I was looking for a client that could help me inspect variable values—and even more importantly—their addresses. That’s when I found OPC Expert and adopted it as my go-to development tool.

I also recommended it to the client, who still uses it today.
Other clients may look better visually, but their use is often chaotic and unintuitive, and they’re overly bloated for performing such a simple task.

That’s why I recommend OPC Expert and see no reason to search for alternative tools that do the same thing.
Yes, it stops working every 4 hours, but it can be restarted easily and it’s not a major drawback—especially considering how reliable it is overall\!
