Outstanding Product and Customer Service

Commentaires : I have an overwhelming positive experience. We worked with [sensitive content hidden] for the 2nd year in a row. He was ALWAYS available to answer our many questions and the man is extremely professional and patient. Big reason we came back to GolfStatus. Also, the product works very well and have no reason to look outside of their services. Well done!

Avantages :

The site is so easy to use for the end user and the admin user. I have everything I need via the web or the app. I received so many compliments on the ease of use for our supporters. I couldn't be happier.

Inconvénients :

I would encourage you to look at the live scoring option a little easier to use. For instance, the "back and forward" arrows don't seem to work when you press with your finger on the phone. It was a bit clunky, but ultimately did work. The check-in and play option was a bit confusing to a new user. Maybe color code them a bit better for people just wanting to play asap.

Commentaires : Perfection! Every team member I've ever worked with has been accommodating, friendly, and proactive. I can't say enough good things about our experience. We can't wait to team together again next year.

Avantages :

The staff is incredibly helpful, not only in creating your tournament site but also in educating our team on how to best use the software. We've used GolfStatus two years in a row at our charity golf fundraiser, and we couldn't be happier. Totaling scores and breaking flights at the end of the day is nothing more than clicking a button. Not to mention, the tools within the software for scorecards, golf cart signs, alpha lists, etc. make life easier for our organization and the golf course staff as well. GolfStatus is a true blessing to our organization!

Inconvénients :

My only recommendation would be to overhaul the registration pages that our team captains and sponsors see when purchasing their packages. It works. There's no complaint there, but it isn't graphically pleasing to the eye. For such amazing software, it lacks a modern look.

Gold status keeps everything easy to use. Great for large tournaments from beginning to end.

Inconvénients :

Getting users to have the app downloaded prior to check in.

There are so many things I really love and appreciate about GolfStatus! - Anytime I had a question or needed anything [sensitive content hidden] was quick to answer and help me out. - The website is easy to navigate for both hosts and players/sponsors - I have gotten great value out of the webinars hosted by GolfStatus that I have attended. The format they use is unparalleled! - The added bonuses and connection to Dormie Stay and Play packages added great value to our event.

Inconvénients :

I can't think of anything. I look forward to using the program again because there were a lot of resources on the website that I did not get to use this year due to time.

A Game-Changer for Our Tournament Management

Commentaires : Again, as a first-time tournament planner, I was expecting a much more stressful experience managing all of the pieces for players and sponsors. But GolfStatus made the whole experience so easy and, yes, even enjoyable! I appreciated having a dedicated support tech person who answered my questions in a timely and helpful manner, and who provided additional support to me as a first-time user. There's no question that I will be using GolfStatus again for next year's tournament!

Avantages :

As a first-time tournament planner, I was warned about the headache that player and sponsor management would be. With GolfStatus, there was never a headache moment! By directing all of our players and sponsors to our event page they were able to register with ease. And the admin/management side was easy and intuitive to navigate. I can't imagine hosting our event any other way!

Inconvénients :

I can't say there was anything I "liked least" about GolfStatus. The only limitation I encountered was being able to allow players to assign themselves to teams if they registered individually -- I would have to manage that on the back-end. But they did have an easy workaround to ensure players could provide me with the necessary information to get them on their preferred team, so it wasn't a big deal.

Great Platform for Golf Tournament Mgmt

Avantages :

GolfStatus allowed for ease of registration for our sponsors/attendees. We were able to easily and more efficiently sign up our sponsors/attendees, while providing an ease of payment so we were able to collect funds faster. GolfStatus staff ([sensitive content hidden]) was top notch with helping with the set-up, training, and troubleshooting. Quick and friendly responses were super helpful when managing the event planning.

Inconvénients :

If you have multiple elements to an event, outside of just golf, customization is needed to incorporate all the registration into one platform.

Commentaires : [sensitive content hidden] was great! He was always available to answer questions and promptly return calls or emails. Anytime I needed to have a conference call, there was a virtual set up as well. Loved the instant reporting of how many golfers/sponsors I had signed up and how many spots were open.

Avantages :

consistency with lists and reports QUICK service from the staff when I had questions.

Inconvénients :

price of the credit card charges, but that is likely uncontrollable from GolfStatus. Technology sponsor was too expensive.

Ease of access. Extremely user friendly.

Inconvénients :

Adding players to a tournament is a bit time consuming. You can import from a list, but it would take just as long to filter list properly.

Why wouldn't you use GolfStatus

Commentaires : We will continue to use GolfStatus for our events moving forward and I look forward to any expanded features they add.

Avantages :

GolfStatus provides a platform to make event management seamless. We've hosted our last two golf tournaments with a field of 144 golfers and numerous sponsors flawlessly because of GolfStatus. Registration is handled and having the contact information for all your users is helpful for pushing announcements and any follow up needed. The mobile app for in tournament is a great feature to keep up with the leaderboard and provides a great way to sell sponsorships since they are highlighted throughout the app. [sensitive content hidden] has been a huge resource from a customer service perspective to help when I am unable to handle things on my own or needs to be done quickly.

Inconvénients :

Some of the customizable features are challenging to navigate on the users end but having [sensitive content hidden] to help where needed makes it a null point for us.

Four years using GolfStatus - we'll be back next year

Commentaires : Overall, I think GolfStatus is reasonably easy to use, at a reasonable price. The customer service is first rate. I wish I could get more entrants to use GolfStatus, but I still have businesses that prefer to mail checks and golfers that prefer using checks or PayPal.

Avantages :

1. The staff are quick to respond. This is very important to us. There were some errors with the registration info, and they fixed the errors within minutes. 2. Golfers and sponsors who like to register online find the site easy to use. 3. Once you get the hang of it, the design and implementation are easy to use. And it gets better each year. I like that you can do a lot of the work yourself.

Inconvénients :

1. The Stripe electronic payment system has been a hassle every year, so we have GolfStatus mail us a check.

Commentaires : My experience with GolfStatus was positive. I am happy that I found this product, and the fact it is free for non-profits makes it even better. Our goal is to fundraise as much as possible and having this option helps us put more into our healthcare system. Every person I worked with for the implementation of GolfStatus were great: [sensitive content hidden]

Avantages :

-GolfStatus was easy to learn and to use. -Was excited to hear that this was free for non-profits to use with the sale of the technology sponsorship. -Loved that it was golf-based vs other fundraising software. It was easy to understand for our attendees.

-Would like to be able to put a photo in on a form, i.e. selling t-shirts, company merchandise, etc.

Great event management tool

Commentaires : The GolfStatus tool was great. And we were able to showcase our sponsors with logos and links to their website. The team at GolfStatus was always very receptive to my questions. It was a great experience and I look forward to the future.

Avantages :

The Golf Status product was simple to use, very intuitive. This was my first time organizing a golf tournament so I saw both sides of the system (user & administrator).

Inconvénients :

Since this was our first tournament ever, not every golfer or sponsor used the system. I understand this should get better next year and we will push people to use the system. While I was able to register golfers and sponsors on the backside of the system (very easy to do), I was not able to get consolidated reporting from the tool but could easily export the data in Excel.

Best Option for Nonprofit Golf Tournaments

Commentaires : It's been a good relationship. The ability to run and manage your event smoothly and efficiently helps us focus on fundraising. GolfStatus is the best event management software we've used. Previously, we've looked at other golf tournament management software and did most of it by hand. It's helped us be able to improve our tournament much more quickly. We don't plan on leaving any time soon.

Avantages :

We've used GolfStatus for 4 years now. We're able to quickly register, adjust, and finalize our teams on the fly as matters arise. The app is great and our teams have gotten accustomed to using it.

Inconvénients :

We don't have any cons at this time. It's a great product.

Commentaires : Overall, it was a great experience. Myself and a few others were in charge of planning a charity golf tournament for the first time, and GolfStatus made this manageable in many ways. The GolfStatus staff was there every step of the way to assist and ensure the event was a success.

Avantages :

GolfStatus was great from the start. We started with a virtual meeting to get our team introduced to GolfStatus, and everything started from there. [sensitive content hidden] and the entire GolfStatus team were extremely helpful and very proactive throughout the entire process which included setting up the website, fine tuning the website’s features, launching the website, and managing registration/donations/add-ons/etc.

Inconvénients :

The only con was with the mass email feature that allowed the admin to email all of the registrants. There were only so many words allowed in the email, and it was a little less than we would’ve liked in order to get all of the necessary information to the registrants.

Avantages :

I learned about GolfStatus through the Association of Fundraising Professionals. We were in the early planning phases and I reached out to GolfStatus and met Matt. Working with Matt was great! GolfStatus provides the tools we needed to be organized and professional. The registration and event day tools work well. Golfers enjoy the app and the live scoring leaderboard.

Inconvénients :

I'm not sure there is anything I don't like about GolfStatus.

Golf Status for Non-Profits is Great!

Avantages :

Golf Status took the burden off of our small team when it came to organizing a website, managing transactions, and sending out information to our golfers regarding our event. The registration website and processing gateway made it very streamlined and simple for our players. It was much easier to manage!

Inconvénients :

While we loved using Golf Status and it was great, there were some features we wished were more comprehensive. The ability to customize the website is very basic and the app was not as user-friendly as we had hoped. That being said, they were both still very helpful tools!

Nonprofit Fundraising Made Easy

Avantages :

We loved how easy it was to manage our event using the GolfStatus platform. I feel like the platform is very easy to manage and pretty straightforward. But due to the nature of our event (2 playing formats within the same outing) we needed a certain level of flexibility and GolfStatus provided that. Our Client Success Specialist, [sensitive content hidden] , was great, helping us navigate the system and making sure that we were on the path to hosting a successful event. The support that [sensitive content hidden] and his team provided is why we will use this platform as long as I'm helping to lead First Tee - Benton Harbor.

Inconvénients :

We love everything about the system. We haven't been able to utilize the live scoring system for our event, but that's an issue for us to resolve, not GolfStatus.

Avantages :

GolfStatus makes it extremely easy to register players and foursomes for our event. The ability to collect payment via credit card at the time of registration makes the process easy and stress free.

Best Product on the Market

Avantages :

I've used GolfStatus for four years. Tremendous customer service whenever needed. (and I've needed it!) Very easy to use in every step of the process. Our tournament is huge, with so many moving parts. GolfStatus has the features to handle all areas. I'm retiring this year, and will insist that my successor continue to use GolfStatus.

Inconvénients :

Nothing comes to mind at this time. Big fan!

Makes managing a golf outing easy!

Commentaires : Overall, I feel lucky to have found this platform when I first started our annual outing. I had never run a golf outing and am not a golfer, so this make it really easy.

Avantages :

I like that it is structured specifically for golf outings and gives you all of the tools and reports you need to be organized and professional. I always get comments on how well our outings are run and Golf Status plays a huge part in that.

Inconvénients :

I would like the option to list sponsors according to their sponsorship level. It just groups them all together and doesn't allow us to recognize the different levels.

Our club didn't use the scoring aspect. I hope to change this next year.
