> **Inconvénients**: TW does not charge tax on credit card fees, which are taxable. We figure those taxes manually. It's a small amount, so it is not a big deal to do, but it is one more step to take to pay accurate taxes.

> My staff is able to easily log in to perform all of the functions each person needs to do. The calendar makes things easy, and the tour guide assigning feature really helps us.

On the surface, it appears to be the high-end, all-in-one solution that modern tour operators are looking for.&#10;&#10;Strong Early Support: During our initial onboarding, the support team was very responsive. Specifically, Melanie was a standout—she was a true rockstar who could solve problems quickly and was a pleasure to work with.&#10;&#10;Comprehensive Feature Set: The platform offers a wide range of built-in tools like digital waivers, automated abandoned cart recovery, and resource management that are designed to help a business scale.&#10;&#10;Visions for Growth: In the beginning, it was exciting to be part of a platform that seemed to be evolving quickly. We genuinely wanted to help them grow because the core concept of the software is very promising.

> **Inconvénients**: Running a tour business is hard enough without your booking software actively working against you. We were early supporters of TripWorks and genuinely wanted them to succeed, but the platform has become an operational liability.&#10;&#10;The most concerning issue arose when we decided to leave: TripWorks refused to process remaining customer refunds unless I granted them blind, unrestricted access to my account. Forcing a business owner to choose between taking care of their customers and maintaining basic digital security is an unacceptable business practice.&#10;&#10;Their financial structure is also a nightmare for any serious accountant. They collect processing fees for the entire booking total upfront out of the initial deposit. If a customer pays a 10% deposit, TripWorks takes their cut of the full 100% immediately. This means you are prepaying fees on money you haven't even collected yet, making your balance sheets and long-term forecasting impossible to reconcile.&#10;&#10;Technically, the system is a "gauntlet." They seem to do zero beta testing, pushing updates directly to live users that cause system-wide crashes. We learned to fear the "forced logout"—anytime the system made us log back in, it was a signal that a background update had just broken something critical. These glitches led to total data blackouts, broken resource management tools, and massive overbooking issues because the system couldn't accurately communicate with OTAs like Viator and GetYourGuide.&#10;&#10;The company also removed key inventory features without warning, wrecking our sales tax reporting and wasting months of organizational work. To top it off, they used us as a reference for sales calls without our consent, leading to unsolicited calls from other operators.&#10;&#10;It is clear that since their $6 million Series A funding, TripWorks has prioritized "feature bloat" and rapid scaling over the stability required to run a real business. If you value your data security, your accounting accuracy, and your sanity on a busy Saturday, look elsewhere. Stability and support disappear the moment you stop being a growth metric for their investors.

### "Tripworks Is An Amazing Product" — 5.0/5

> **Avantages**: The setup of our tour options, vouchers and gift card options are extremely easy. The dedicated customer service with an actual account manager that i can talk to when I have an issue is one of top features I love. The payment processing is fast and the flexibility to modify features is top notch.

> **Inconvénients**: I wish customers had a way to cancel tours and request refunds themselves so we didn't have to stop and manually cancel the reservation.  It just takes time out of my admin team's day to do this.  Also, when a reservation is cancelled or a draft is removed, I would be great if it didn't show up as just deleted, it would be much better if it showed up in the sales screen as actually cancelled.  It just crowds the sales screen when multiple of the same activity for the same person shows up as a draft or deleted.  Lastly, Tripworks would be elite if they set up a way to automatically pay out commissions for bookings through affiliate partners instead of my accounting team having to manually calculate and pay out commissions.

> **Avantages**: TripWorks' best feature is its top client service. The set up was a breeze with Tripwork's team, we had two calls to customize their platform according to our specific products and needs. Afterwards, a dedicated account manager is assigned to you so that you can email or set up calls for any follow-up questions (which I have generously used).&#10;Besides client service, the platform did solve many of the issues we had been struggling with such as having multiple resellers and integrating all of the bookings into one calendar.

> **Inconvénients**: There isn't much to complain about Tripworks. The main issue is that it has so many features that it takes a while to properly get to know the platform and everything that it can do. I have been stumped a couple of times on how to proceed, but TripWorks' team have been quick to reply to my emails or get on a call to help me out.
