> **Avantages**: I use the most basic feature of Active Words. And I am ecstatic about paying the $32 per year for the one feature of dropping in text and then assigning that text a short trigger key code - like when I type mbs \>\> and hit F8, it automatically types into my document, or email or note = My Best, Sue. I also save entire press releases 500 words long and set a code like typing letters praward \>\> hit F8 and it triggers the drop of the entire release into the body of an email to an editor. Sure -- you can say "Just copy-paste the release." Yes, but its not nearly as fast a process. I trust that I save hours per month using my Active Words text blocks. Customer service is over the topic the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] writes personal emails to answer questions about the software or install.

> **Inconvénients**: I think the toughest part about the system is that I need to remember my trigger text. It does have a tag search feature, but if I am in this to save time, I'd like to not have to search for my trigger text. I do the next best thing - I print out my codes and see the replacement text fast to grab the text trigger.

> A colleague told me about Active Words when it first came out close to 15 years ago. At the time there was a feature in the program that actually told you how much time you saved using it based on your typing speed. I was always amazed - at the end of the month it might be 6 to 8 hours for me. I checked just now, and I don't see that the feature still offered, but it sold me. It's easy, cheap, and helps me save time and make more money.

> **Avantages**: ActiveWords lets you assign keystrokes to commonly used routines or text. For example, if you regularly use the same paragraph to answer a support email, you can assign that passage to a set of keystrokes. You end up spending less time and maintain consistency. The same goes for using programs.

> **Inconvénients**: It justs works on Microsoft Windows machines. No Mac or Chromebooks.
> 
> This software can be a real help when doing any kind of email support where you hit the same questions. I suspect it would also work well with lawyers who do contracts or travel advisors that put together travel itineraries. Lots of options.
