> **Avantages**: The great thing about CoinPayments is that it just works. Integrating CoinPayments into our project was easy. The documentation was clear enough. Besides, there are existing plugins to make the implementation even a lot smoother on some platforms.

In my experience, the customer support too is blazing fast.

> this is what happened:
I tried to buy a product with cryptocurrency via coinpayments.
The payment page on the website  specified clearly the requirements of the payment being "ethereum, erc20".

This let us think that we can send ethereum with a protocol matching erc20 standard.

I sent ethereum via Arbitrum protocol that matches erc20 standard.

And only after that coinpayments told me that they do not accept the specific Arbitrum protocol... Even if it is a very common way to send ethereum.

This does look like a scam as the private key they own allows them to access my funds on the arbitrum network as it is the same as the key for the native ethereum network. (It is a trivial action to access it)

So they can access my money and they tell me "you didn't send it the way we like, and we won't reimburse you unless you pay 0.02 ETH (60€)" even if they didn't specify clearly the way they like it in the first place.

I am very disappointed.
