> **Avantages**: I use this program quite a bit to wipe old PC's so that they are HIPAA compliant before being decommissioned. The software is very easy to use and has a multitude of different types of disk erasure's. I use the 3 pass DoD wiping format but there's a lot to choose from. It's easy to plug disks into a dock or what I like the most is the bootable USB sticks with a fully functioning GUI to make things even easier. You can easily generate proof of formatting certificates that have serial numbers and other identifying numbers.

> **Inconvénients**: I haven't found anything to complain about with Active@ Killdisk program. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and the features are easy to identify.

> **Avantages**: I have been using Active@ Kill Disk for years.  It is my standard for writing a ton of zeros to a hard drive several times to securely wipe a hard drive.  The company offers a free version that works on bootable media.  I have the full purchased version where I can wipe a couple drives simultaneously and leave a bunch in queue.  There are several “wiping” standard that are offered to match your tastes in levels of hard drive deletion.

> **Inconvénients**: I wish you could wipe more than two drives at a time.

> I would recommend this software to anyone.  It works really well.
