> **Avantages**: Expensify is very user friendly - it's extremely easy to upload receipts, add purchase details and find the appropriate coding for your company's GL/charge categories for your particular expense. On the company/employer side, it is an easy system to set up and rollout and is also great for auditing and reviewing employees' expenses and generating reports.

> **Inconvénients**: It's a great expense reimbursement system. The only feedback I can think of is that it does not seem to allow a user to add multiple receipts at a time for one expense (unless I just haven't noticed how to do this yet :)

> **Avantages**: One of the first things I noticed when using Expensify is how simple it is to keep using consistently. You just take a picture of a receipt, and SmartScan automatically pulls in the amount, date, and vendor, so there’s very little manual input involved. After a while, it doesn’t even feel like you’re managing expenses—it just happens naturally in the background.&#10;  Forwarding email receipts is also very convenient. Instead of having to upload files manually, everything flows into the system with minimal effort. Being able to review expenses alongside card activity also makes it easier to keep track of spending in a practical way, not just for record-keeping but for day-to-day awareness.&#10;  From a remote bookkeeper’s perspective, this ease of use becomes even more valuable when working with clients. Even those who are not familiar with accounting tools can start using it without much explanation, and in most cases, they continue using it without needing reminders. Over time, this naturally reduces the need to request receipts or follow up, and the flow of documents becomes much more consistent.&#10;  Another major advantage is that Expensify can integrate directly with accounting software like QuickBooks. Expenses recorded in Expensify can be synced straight into QuickBooks accounts, which means bookkeepers don’t have to manually re-enter or reformat data. This integration helps create a seamless workflow between clients and bookkeepers and keeps the overall accounting process much smoother.&#10;  The Expense Report feature is also straightforward. Clients can group their expenses and submit them without overcomplicating the process, which helps maintain consistency. Overall, what stands out most is that the system is simple enough that people actually stick with it.

> **Inconvénients**: From a user standpoint, there aren’t any major frustrations. The simplicity of the system actually works in its favor and helps maintain regular use.&#10;  That said, the automatically captured details are not always perfectly accurate, so there are times when categories or minor details need to be reviewed or adjusted. From a bookkeeping perspective, this becomes more noticeable, as the data still requires a final review before being fully ready for accounting purposes.&#10;  Also, since transactions are grouped into Expense Reports, there can be some extra steps when breaking things down for detailed categorization or reconciliation. However, this feels like a reasonable trade-off for keeping the overall experience simple and user-friendly.

> Using Expensify both personally and with clients, it feels like a tool that is designed more around usability than complexity.&#10;  As a user, it makes expense tracking much easier. Expenses are recorded right away, there’s nothing to remember later, and it’s easy to look things up when needed. Over time, it becomes part of a routine rather than a task.&#10;  When working with clients, the difference is even more noticeable. Instead of repeatedly asking for documents or organizing information manually, data starts coming in naturally as clients use the app. This reduces the amount of back-and-forth and makes communication much simpler.&#10;  It also works well across different types of clients, regardless of their experience level, which is especially important in a remote setup. People tend to keep using it once they start, and that consistency makes a big difference in maintaining a smooth workflow.&#10;  Overall, it doesn’t replace bookkeeping, but it does make the entire process more manageable by improving how information is captured and shared. Expensify stabilizes data flow and makes collaboration much easier. Based on my experience, I’d rate it around 4.5 to 4.7 out of 5.

> **Avantages**: It is extremely convenient to take a picture of your receipt and have Expensify automatically create the expense item for you.  It will capture vendor/company, dates, $ amounts, etc.  All you need to do is confirm and add customers and reason for expense.
> 
> **Inconvénients**: Sometimes Expensify will duplicate expenses if you aren't patient.  If you take a picture or upload a receipt then simultaneously try to manually edit, it will create two duplicate expenses and not accept one of them.  I think it would be 'better'' if the users is notified then asked which record is the correct 'duplicate' expense.
> 
> It is a great tool and simplifies expense reporting.  The fact that there is a smartphone application makes it so that you don't have a weekly/monthly wad of receipts that you have to report/track.  For me, when travelling, I would say that I lose about 20-30% of my receipts each trip, each month.

> **Inconvénients**: I genuinely can't think of anything.  The biggest complaints I've heard from my team were just down to the selections available in drop-downs and those aren't an expensify issue but rather a config issue.

> I have nothing bad to say about Expensify.  I've used it for a variety of expenses but my typical use is for travel/transportation costs and I have approvals every week - it's so quick and easy I barely have to think about it.
